In the days that followed, Markus continued his evening visits to Kaia’s room. Despite her unconscious state, he let Stinger create a safe environment with his aura around them. Each time he was there, her medical machines spiked with activity, which gave him hope. After more than two weeks, this became a ritual. Every evening, he would sit in the visitor's seat, holding her hand and telling her about his day. He longed for the day when she would open her eyes, but it still hadn't happened.
