"So, Elara, tell me a bit about yourself," Mia says as we walk along a dirt road leading us up the mountain. I am sweaty and out of breath—unlike Ben and Mia, who seem totally unphased—and I am already regretting my decision to join them for a swim in the mountain lake. "Um," I stall, trying not to show them how much this light exercise is costing me. "I don't see your mate anywhere, so I am guessing that did not end well." She continues when I don't say anything. I must have made a face because she immediately went on. "But, don't worry, I won't ask you about that. Ben already told me you are not keen on that topic."
