It's past eleven p.m., and I am sitting on the bed, hugging my knees, listening to every sound coming from the outside. The dress is on the floor, long forgotten. I gave up on Darius taking me anywhere at one point during the evening. Not that I'm complaining. Faint footsteps outside my door have my heart racing, but they go silent soon. I sigh in relief. It's not Darius. If I'm lucky, Briana will keep him busy all night. If not... I clutch my dagger.
