Chapter 14

I wake up tired and grumpy. I slept poorly after the "incident" last night, half expecting Ethan to show up again and try to murder me in my sleep. Not that I have any idea why. After a quick shower, I open one of the boxes labeled "clothes" and smile widely when all I see are jeans, shorts, and T-shirts—no summer dresses and designer skirts in sight. I pull out denim shorts and a white T-shirt with "Velaris, a city of starlight" written on it in huge black letters and put them on. One quick braid later, I am ready for a day of unpacking. My mind immediately goes into planning mode, and I notice my mood has picked up considerably as the ideas of how to arrange my room pop up in my head.
