John was at the convention all day, including a luncheon. It was boring but part of his job. His speech is done by late afternoon, and he meets Kelly in the hotel room after. She gives him a briefing on the sites within walking distance of the hotel. She is talking so fast about all the stuff on Bourbon Street, John has to calm her down to understand what she is talking about. Kelly cannot wait to get him on Bourbon Street for all the naughty fun, but there is a cocktail party at the hotel as part of the convention. They are going to skip the convention banquet dinner. Instead, John has made reservations at Walter’s, one of the best restaurants in the Quarter. It sounds a little stuffy to Kelly, but being with John should make it reasonable.
