"Bianca was kidnapped." Luke, our fellow doctor friend, came in panting.
"Was it Alpha Byron who kidnapped her?" I asked in panic, but Luke shook his head in confusion.
"They dragged Bianca into a car. I don't know who the perpetrator is." Darren and I exchanged glances.
"Come in first; I will go with you to the city to look for my sister." I panicked upon hearing it. Darren was not well, and it should have been me going to save Bianca. I knew the cause must surely be my departure.
"No, you're sick. Let me go." Darren shook his head vigorously.
"Bianca is willing to do all this to keep you safe in your hideout. Just like Bianca, I will protect you." After much consideration, I finally let Darren go, accompanied by my concoction that would help him if his pain recurred. Darren then went with Luke to the city to search for the missing Bianca.
I spent the day in Darren's wooden house with an unending sense of worry. Day after day, Darren always made time to come home and update me that his efforts were fruitless. Bianca was not found, and the nurses and doctors at the hospital began to suspect the mysterious disappearance of Bianca and me. Like today, Darren came home again with a weary face. "Is Bianca still not found?" Darren shook his head.
"I didn't even find it at your husband, Alpha Byron's, house," Darren revealed.
"Did you really go there?" For some reason, I was somewhat curious about the state of that house and whether Alpha Byron was really looking for me.
"Yes," Darren replied briefly.
"What happened there? The servants must have recognized the scent of the stranger sneaking in there," I said.
"I didn't sneak in; I came in properly with a strategy that I had thought out. But Alpha Byron is not there; only a woman who looks like a mistress of the house is there." Ah, I guess that's Hazel; she must be living peacefully in our house without me. But why was Bianca kidnapped? If Alpha Byron hasn't been looking for me until now, and I feel like he hasn't been searching for me, also Hazel's calm presence in our house. Then why was Bianca kidnapped?
"Do you feel something is off?" Darren asked. I nodded a bit hesitantly, but suddenly we both heard the sound of a car entering the driveway. That was Bianca's car, and Bianca got out of it.
Her condition was chaotic, her body was covered in bruises, and she walked with a limp. I don't know how long she endured her pain during the car ride. Darren and I quickly helped her into the house. With my supernatural ability as a healer, I helped treat Bianca.
Instantly, her body became fresh again, with only bruises and a few scratches on her body that hadn't healed yet.
"What happened? Luke said someone has kidnapped you. Where did Alpha Byron kidnap you? Darren didn't find you at our house." I bombarded her with a lot of questions, but Bianca, despite being hurt, could still smile and calm me down.
"It wasn't Alpha Byron who kidnapped me, but Alpha Oliver." I was surprised; it turned out it wasn't Byron who was looking for me but someone else. For some reason, I felt a bit disappointed.
"Why, Alpha Oliver?" I asked, hiding all my feelings in front of the two of them.
"Because Alpha Byron attacked Silver Paw, they accused Alpha Oliver of abducting Luna from Moonshadow. The situation is quite chaotic," Bianca revealed.
"How can I see Alpha Byron's residence looking so peaceful as if nothing happened?" Darren asked in surprise.
"I don't know, but according to the rumors, Moonshadow is indeed very strong and untouchable," Bianca said.
"How are you? Does Alpha Oliver know that it was you who took me away?" I asked quickly.
"No, he did force me to reveal your whereabouts because he realized that you and I are very close. But he doesn't know I took you away, and no werewolf will be able to sense your presence as long as you're here," Bianca suddenly said. I didn't know the reason, and I just stared at Bianca with a thousand questions in my mind.
"Because you are next to Darren. Don't you realize the reason I brought Matilda here? Darren has a strange power; you can't be detected while being next to him, and I need your healer's power to cure Darren's illness." Darren and I exchanged glances, both of us unable to believe that we would ever need each other. But in this situation, it is Bianca who is suffering.
"That's why for days here I feel safe; I don't feel like I'm being hunted or found by even the strongest werewolves." And Bianca nodded in agreement. This is amazing, but also not surprising in our environment that is so racially mixed.
"But you who will suffer, you will be hunted by the werewolf clans from both packs." Darren was worried, and so was I.
"I don't mind; I can run here to heal Matilda. No one can hurt me as long as Matilda is by my side." Bianca laughed, but I ended up crying; a friend I met five years ago in the hospital was willing to risk her life for me. If Bianca really needs me to treat her brother Darren, it's nothing compared to the sacrifices and what she has done for me. I would even be willing to give anything for her.
"Don't cry, I told you that I'm fine. And everything is safe. Alpha Byron also doesn't know that your baby has passed away. That became the catalyst for his attack on Silver Paw, while Alpha Oliver insisted on getting information from me so he could find you. Don't worry, you will be safe here." Bianca smiled again and didn't think about herself.
"Stupid, why don't you think about yourself? You are hurt so badly." I cried while looking at every scar on Bianca's body that had not yet faded.
"One could say Darren and I might have gotten used to it. In the past, the werewolf clan from my mother's pack attacked us and our father because they couldn't accept the relationship between our father and mother. Unexpectedly, Mother left us all, not to go back to her pack but to go with another man. Father was always blamed for Mother's departure; he died at the hands of my grandfather, while Darren received a curse."
