The four of us were in the same room, and Alpha Byron guided me to sit next to him. His acting is so good, we will look like an inseparable married couple. I bet Alpha Oliver would never suspect the forbidden relationship between his wife and my husband.
"I will take Hazel home. Won't Mrs. Matilda mind if I bring her friend home?" Alpha Oliver smiled at me. If Byron's acting is so skilled, I won't be outdone by him either.
"You have more right to your wife, Alpha. A Luna from another pack shouldn't stay here for too long. Especially to take care of another pack's affairs." Everyone looked at me in shock.
"Is Hazel planning to stay here longer?" Alpha Oliver glanced at his wife; I could see from the corner of my eye when my husband slightly clenched his fist.
"While she's here, Hazel will help with Luna's matters because she understands. You know my wife is busy at the hospital, right?" Oh, this is a sudden attack. I clenched my dress because I was nervous. Indirectly, he revealed my disloyalty to him and the pack.
"Actually, I like Luna, who is active like Mrs. Matilda." This time I saw Alpha Byron's jaw tighten. Is he jealous?
Our meeting ended with Hazel returning to Silver Paw. Alpha Byron became gloomy after Hazel left, even though he made time to sleep beside me and our child.
In my heart, I want my baby to be born soon; I want to ensure they get their rights while I really want to step back from any pack. I want to live a normal life, not as a Luna of any Alpha.
A tear fell from my eye again, seeing Alpha Byron's face asleep after talking with his child, one of his hands still on my stomach. Why did he have to cheat with my best friend, when, for me, I never stopped paying attention to him? But he used my job as an excuse, as if he was extremely lonely.
The next morning, I returned to my routine at the hospital, where Bianca was always there to take care of me. She even always welcomes my arrival and helps me walk to my room. "Why are you insisting on coming in?" This is a phrase I often hear from Bianca, but sometimes I am so grateful for it.
"I'm healthy; that's why I can come to work." I patted Bianca's hand to calm her down.
"Ah yes, Someone has been waiting for you since early morning. Do you feel like you have an appointment with someone?" I frowned; I didn't feel like I had an appointment with anyone.
Until I arrived in my room, I was shocked because it was Alpha Oliver who came.
The Alpha was wearing his formal attire, looking dashing with a skin tone slightly darker than Alpha Byron. Actually, Alpha Oliver is charming, but why did Hazel have to steal someone else's husband?
"Sorry for interrupting your work, Mrs. Matilda. May I speak with you for a moment?" Suddenly, the atmosphere became very serious. I sat in front of Alpha Oliver, who I could now see had a much more serious expression than when he came to our house yesterday.
"Do you trust your husband so much?" I shook my head.
"He can be a human, he can also be a wolf, but he cannot be a sinless God. Sometimes he will make mistakes."
"From your words, it seems like you doubt your own husband. Do you know something that your husband is hiding from you?" Alpha Oliver suddenly said that, as if he suspected something. I shrugged my shoulders in response; I must not be caught by anyone. I stood my ground, not intending to expose any disgrace or provoke anyone.
"Do you know about Hazel's forbidden relationship with your husband?" I was startled; I thought Alpha Oliver didn't know anything. I thought Byron's acting had successfully covered up their shame in front of Alpha Oliver.
"What do you mean?"
"Hazel is having an affair with Alpha Byron. Beta Silver Paw has investigated this, and there is too much evidence to deny. Beta also told me that you caught them. Do you still want to pretend you don't know, Mrs. Matilda?" I crumpled the patient data document on my desk, and it didn't escape Alpha Oliver's notice.
"Are you protecting your husband and your friend?"
"I am protecting my child." Alpha Oliver glanced at where my hand was pointing; there was the long-awaited heir of Moonshadow in my womb. I hope he understands why I am just silent.
"Don't you feel hurt?"
"I even want a divorce. Tell me how I can stop being Luna without sacrificing the child I am carrying." My tears fell; my desperate words should have reached Alpha Oliver's heart.
"If we just stay silent, you and I will look foolish." The Alpha fell silent; he seemed to want to cooperate with me.
"What are your plans, Alpha?" I asked.
"Revenge." I furrowed my brows. Alpha Oliver and I were not that close, maybe only occasionally meeting at inter-pack meetings; now he came offering cooperation.
"In what way?" I asked; the Alpha seemed to be weighing his options, tapping my desk with his fingers for a moment.
"Cheating back." This time, his words shocked me even more, and I didn't understand.
"We'll create an affair between you and me." Alpha Oliver caressed my hand that was on the table; I wasn't ready to digest it. Suddenly, someone opened the door to my room, and it was Alpha Byron.
