What had once seemed like a dream had become a nightmare. In seconds, the whole friendly and comfortable atmosphere changed. I really wanted to get out of that place at that moment, I wanted to disappear, I wanted to evaporate. One of the people I wanted to forget was right there, in front of me, and in front of Lacey.
"How long has it been... doctor..." she said, coming closer, trying to take hold of a seductive and mocking place simultaneously. I didn't like her. Lacey looked less shocked, but she was also confused. I didn't want her to think I was some kind of crazy ex-girlfriend. She was crazy, but not an ex-girlfriend.
