Caleb turned away without hesitation, as if he had chosen not to notice the confusion and reluctance in Rivka's eyes. He kept a tight hold on her hand and led her straight out of the restaurant. The car door slammed shut behind them, cutting off the noise outside and leaving them alone in a silence heavy with everything neither of them was saying. "Caleb, what's going on?"
