Kane P.O.V

I entered my room with a smile pasted on my lips, not thinking about any consequences, just relishing this lovely moment. Her eyes were looking so enchanting I could keep looking into them for a whole day without blinking and would still not be satisfied and ooohhh her lips. They look so juicy and plump and rosy. I just want to have a taste of them. I bet they are going to be so sweet. When I saw her during dinner, it was quite difficult for me and Max, my wolf, to reign control of our emotions. Max wanted to go directly there on the spot and to kiss her uncontrollably. But I have to act my role and not to mess things up. I have come very far, and I am very close to completing my secret task. Remembering that now I have to make a report of my day here and also have to inform them about me finding my mate here, it will change something but not much, as I have to make her trust me and, as well as that, I also have to make sure that she does not disturb my plans. He scribled everything and sent the report, then deleted it afterward when he saw that the report had been sent and seen.

MAX : “Hey buddy, did you notice Our Mate is very pretty? I can sense that her wolf is also there and is making herself dormant also. She is making her scent as low as possible as well."

Kane : “hmmm… now you mention that, I also felt that, but WHY is the question? Why is she doing that?”

Max : “ I think our Mate also does not like this pack and the people of this pack. Did you not see what she was wearing and also the amount of work they gave her? That is abuse of power. But she still looked so graceful doing everything alone. Our Mate is incredible.”

Kane : “ yeah I also noticed that they surely make her work more and the way that Alpha ordered her today with spite and hatred told me that they do not like Her.”

Max : “This whole pack think so highly of themselves. In reality, they are nothing compared to Our Mate. I will kill anyone who hurts the Mate, but Kane, even though her wolf was dormant, I can sense some power radiating off from her. She is strong and there is also something mysterious about Mate. I don’t know what, but she is hiding something.”

With that thought kane sat down on his bed and started to wonder 'what is Trisha hiding? If she had her wolf, why did she not feel the mate bond? Why nobody knew about her wolf and why was she trying to hide her wolf?'

While he was in his deep thoughts, his phone chimed and a text came reading

‘FINAL SHOWDOWN .. ONE WEEK’.

Kane turned to his phone that was in his hand and thought that he had very little time to get answers to his questions and also to get to know his mate. 'OUR MATE’ came the grumpy voice of his wolf. Max is the best wolf he could have asked for, he is like another piece of his soul which feels completed with Max. Sometimes he is high on emotions, but he understands his human needs and also gives him perfect advice in every situation. Kane feels so lucky now. Only if his mate is also more understanding of him and his situation, then he will feel like he is out of this world. But for that to happen he must make an effort and connection with his mate, which he has to do in a measly time of one week. If the situation had not involved Trisha, then he would complain about why he had to stay there for one more week, but the circumstances had changed. Now he thinks one week is much less.

Kane : “ Now I can not waste any time and have to work harder”, he marked the date in his calendar on the phone for one week from now. He has to make his connection strong with her in just a week. He searched for her social media profile but, oddly, he did not find anything about her on social media. 'Strange’ he thought to himself and texted Trisha his breakfast schedule, which was quite early in the morning. He felt so guilty, but it was just his way of spending more time with her alone without making anyone suspicious. With texting her, he slumped off his covers and went into a blissful sleep thinking about Trisha and her majestic eyes.

Trisha P.O.V

I was almost asleep when I heard a ping on my phone. I picked up my phone and saw the message with half-opened eyes. It read,

‘Hi Kane here, I am sorry to text you this late but please, I need my breakfast at 6 am. I would like something simple, nothing fancy, And I would like to eat in my bedroom .’

Trisha sighed loudly and set an alarm for 5 am and went to sleep. She had very little time to rest so she went to sleep immediately without thinking anything. At 5 A. M Trisha woke up and quickly washed her face and changed into some comfortable baggy clothes, she looked at herself in the dull make-shift mirror that a member of a pack member had discarded and then became her property. She was wearing an oversize green faded T-shirt with black leggings, and she brushed her hair into a high pony and nodded at herself. She went to pack the house as quickly as possible as she could and made some eggs and buttered toast and roasted some vegetables in butter and assembled them a plate and coupled it with orange juice. She quickly went upstairs but was careful enough so that she did not spill anything.

Trisha reached the door of Kane’s room and knocked once when she heard a sexy voice ‘come in’. Well, the owner of the voice is also eye candy, he was wearing a black T-shirt which was too tight for him as all his muscles were showing from them and his jeans were hugging his torso beautifully. Trisha saw him and her mouth was hung open, she was looking at him with lust from top to bottom and totally forgot why she had come in. Kane cleared his throat, bringing her attention to him. Trisha became red from embarrassment and said “ I AM SORRY SI….. oo.. KANE.” she was about to address him, sir, but then she remembered that he told her specifically to call him by his name. Trisha lowered her eyes then and placed the breakfast on the bed. She was about to go out when Kane held her hand and asked her to stay.

Kane : “ please stay here and have breakfast with me… emmm.. As I do not like to eat alone”

Trisha looked at him and took her hand away from his hold and nodded and said in a low voice, “OK...”

She was feeling attracted towards him, she liked his company, it felt calm and safe, but why..? She was wondering about it, as she felt nothing for anyone in her life or even for her ex- Mate. She did not feel that attracted, there was some attraction but not this intense. What about her reaction to seeing Kane in person? She was in her inner world of thoughts when she felt a little spark in her hands and she gasped,

Kane : “What happened…? I am talking to you and have been calling your name, but you did not answer? Are you OK?”

Trisha said nothing for some time, and then she said that she was OK, just a little tired and took a small bite of toast and looked down.

Kane : “ Ohhh…. I am sorry, it might be because you have to come here early in the morning and make breakfast for me. I have an idea why don’t you rest here a little bit? Then we can go out. I want to see the whole pack and I don’t want to get lost.”

Trisha was shocked and also agitated at his kindness, as nobody here had been this nice to her. But she was scared. She did not know him. How could she sleep in his room while he was there? For one, it might seem like a trap. What if she lies down, and he blames her for sleeping in his bed and tells Alpha about this, or maybe he will take advantage of her? She was very reluctant when Kane got up from his place suddenly and went outside and locked the door. Then he texted her ‘Don’t worry, I am not a bad guy. I will never hurt you. I am just going for a morning walk, so you should just rest as I don’t need you till later today’

Trisha saw the message and smiled a little and lay down on his bed. It was a very soft mattress and his scent was still lingering on his pillows. She smelled the pillows and sheets and giggled. His scent is very intoxicating. She can not keep herself away from smelling his scent.
