Coop just watches Emma like Emma hung the moon.

“ John where have you been staying since you followed us here?”

“I was camping out as a wolf with copper keeping an eye on you two. Running patrol. But last night we slept in your den you and Emma made. You’re very good at making dens by the way”

“ thank you? “ I pause and keep on my thought process “ but how did you follow us? We are 1200 miles away from where we last saw you”

“ ah that, so I have this black dodge challenger rt. I followed you the whole way here. At first I lost you two, but I asked the moon goddess for help and she helped me find you “

I mean… I’m a little creeped out but on the other hand I knew white wolves were chosen from the goddess. We’re special.

“ umm okay but what does the goddess mean when she says we’re special? Nothing feels special about having to run from your first mate that we had to reject because of the torture.”

That causes John to growl.

“I will not cause either of you harm”

I saw his wolf peer through, I saw him glance at Emma but then he barks a laugh.

I look at Emma to find she’s letting cooper taste every fruit loop color.

Cooper loving the tasty treats.

“ baby I don’t think dogs are supposed to eat sugar things.”

Emma freezes. She’s been caught. She looks to me and then to cooper. Then mumbles a sorry to cooper.

“ John what have you and cooper been eating if you’ve been following us? “

“ we’ll every time you guys stopped- we stopped and ate. At first it was fast food due to you not stopping at all. And then when you stopped to look at the 40 footer I had a chance to run into a wooded area for a bunny that we shared. You don’t like to stay in one spot do you? “

“No I don’t. I use cash where we go and never leave a trail behind. No phones either. Are you hungry now???”

John and cooper watch me. I can see they are trying to be polite but I see the hunger.

“ alright, I’ve had my coffee, I’ll make you both some eggs and venison”
