Chapter 13

After I’ve made my cup, I look to John.

“I have a question. The food we picked up…”

“Oh right, so cooper is a normal dog. I got him when I was little. And he’s still going. I don’t know. I brought him with me if you’re okay with me letting him in?”

I just gave the dog back and he’s wanting to show it to Emma again? She’ll get attached.

“John, when we found the dog- Emma wanted to keep it. If she sees it again she’ll want to keep it”

But that got me to thinking about what he said about salene wanting John to protect us. Was the dog part of the reason he found us?

I must of said that out loud because John replies with “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask her in your dreams”

I just gave him a weird look, look down into my cup and think “ I need more coffee”

“Yes cooper can come in, but you’ve been warned”

John turns to the front door, whistles so loud you could hear a thump upstairs.

I turn to John with a death glare because he just woke my baby up!

John looks back at me like ohhh s**t.

Emma comes downstairs “momma wants was the whistle about? I was sleeping!” She says with tears in her eyes. I walk up to her and calm her nerves

“Baby you remember the dog we returned? I guess his name is cooper and he’s a real dog. John is also here, would you like to meet him?”

Emma looks around then turns to the front door as a dog comes running full speed at Emma n I.

My wolf growls low in my throat which causes cooper to skid forward to a stop.
