"You'll stay here until I come back and unlock you. This is your punishment. Next time, you stay in that room."
"I-I'm s-so... sorry," I whispered, my teeth chattering . "Please... please."
The door closed. The sound echoed, final and unforgiving. I kept begging, my voice breaking again and again, until the cold stole my strength and the words faded into silence.
Minutes bled into something endless every second felt like torture. I fought the cuffs under the freezing shower, shaking, pulling, begging my hands to work even as they went numb.
