Advika froze where she sat.
Aviraj stood in the doorway, his presence filling the room before he even stepped inside. His suit was slightly disheveled, jaw tight, eyes burning with a fury that hadn't cooled since the chaos at the party.
"Aviraj..." she whispered, her voice barely holding together.He shut the door behind him with a sharp click.
"Why the f**k did you run?" he snapped, his voice low but violent. "I warned you, Advika. Not once. Twice."
He took a step closer."Do you have any idea what would've happened if I hadn't found you in time?" he continued, anger spilling out now. "Do you think that the hall was full of decent men?"
Another step. The space between them shrank."They would've taken you," he barked. "Used you. Sold you. Or worse."
