Today is two days before the mating ritual and ceremony and all the girls are getting ready for that day. We got all the girls at the new boutique that just opened a week ago. They were trying on the dresses that were there. We have all the most fashionable dresses and some of the most popular designers working for us. The girls were all trying on the most fashionable dresses from the dress design shop that William and I own called The Blue Rose Boutique. We have the best designers working for us, and we bring the best ones out for occasions like this. When one girl tried one on, she liked it. We crossed the name off the list, and she went to the next room to get started with alterations if any needed to be made to the dress. We have designers like Nina Portie and Carrie King. Carrie is one of my favorite designers. Her dresses are so exuberant, and they make you feel like you are the bell of the ball (so to speak).
The days leading up to the mating ritual were hectic, to say the least. The omegas and the pups that were coming of age were running around trying to get outfits and getting all their preparations done before the day. Aspen, Cheyenne, and I were running around like chickens with our heads cut off as well, trying to help them out and getting all the preparations done. All the omegas and the pups that were coming of age were extremely excited about the upcoming mating ritual ceremony. The only ones that were not that excited about it were the young coming-of-age males, especially the ones that had girlfriends. They were all wondering and hoping that they were the mates of their girlfriends.
About a week ago, while getting everything in order for the mating ritual, I got a mind link from William "I need your help out in the training center." I sent him a link back. " Give me just a few minutes. I am in the middle of a dress alteration. I have an omega that needed a last-minute alteration so that the dress fit where it needed to." As I got done putting in the last pin, Carrie the designer said "I got it from here and started helping her out of the dress so that it could be sown. I looked at her and said, "OK, and thank you, I need to go help William out with something out at the training center." Before I could get out of the room, I stopped by a guard, and he handed me a letter that I opened right away. It was written in red ink, and it stated we were going to be attacked soon, but it wasn’t signed. I went through the house at a jog until I got to the back door, then I picked up my speed a little. When I got close, I saw two men and a she-wolf with William, and they were trying to keep the two men apart. When I got out to the training area, I used my Alpha voice and said, "BREAK IT UP. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE TWO OF YOU TO BE FIGHTING."
As I got closer, they stopped and bowed their heads. They turned so that they were facing the way I was coming from. When I got up to the group, I asked them "What is going on here? I then handed the letter to William, and he read it. After he was done, he growled and asked me who sent it when I replied that I didn't know it was brought to me by a guard member. The first thing I thought of was hunters. Hunters are a vicious race of humans. At that particular moment, some other pack members came to where we were and asked if we would be dealing with hunters or if it was something else. I told them as a pack that I wasn't sure right now. We were just going to train a little more, but we still needed to focus on the ritual and ceremony. But when the time came, we would be ready for whatever came our way. I told them to go back to what they were doing to get everything and everyone ready.
The ritual and ceremony are not for two days. There is no reason for fighting. They looked at each other and said: "that they both might be the two she-wolves' mates." The two she-wolves kept telling them just to wait and that we would see who their mates were going to be. The one that is her boyfriend said, "I wasn't going to let her mate have what is mine." I looked at the two men and told them "The two girls don't belong to either one of you and that they are their own person. Both of them can make the decision that's right for their hearts." I then looked at them and realized that they were two she-wolves and asked their names. The first said her name was Kasey and the other said her name was Ashley. They then looked at me and said thank you, Luna, at the same time. I told them both to "go get some rest and that they have a lot to think about over the next couple of days."
The two males were an untamed guard and my cousin named Bobby, and the other was William's brother Tyler, an untamed tracker. They asked the two girls if they could walk them home. They looked at William and me for the answer and I told them that it was up to what they wanted. They looked at Bobby and Tyler and said they had things that they needed to think about and that they would be okay with themselves. I looked at both of the men and told them that "if they want to be the animals, they are acting like to do it somewhere else, not in this pack." The two of them looked at me and told William and me "that it won't happen again." I looked at both of them and said "okay it better not" I asked both of the two men before William, and I let them leave what they were going to do if neither one was her mate and someone else was.
They both looked at us like we had three heads and said that "they were confident that they were both girls' mates and that no one else was." William looked at the two men, one being his brother Tyler and the other being my cousin Bobby, and said, "None of us know who our mate is until we find them then and only then will you know who her mate is. You should cherish the bond and not tarnish it. They told me that they were still waiting for their mate before doing anything with just any she-wolf."
" Both of you need to keep it that way even though I know there are a lot of those girls around here throwing themselves at you." was my reply to them. William dismissed them and I told him that "I cannot wait for this event to be over and all this madness to be done." He agreed with me. He told me "that we just had a couple more weeks to go before it was here and gone." I said, "yeah I know, and then I hope that after this is over, everything will go back to being normal." He said "that it would, and we might have a few more members or a few fewer members." I told him "I hope you're right." He told me to "trust him and that he knew he was right." We were talking about everything when we got back to the house and told Gavin to send out a mass text saying that we needed to prepare for an attack and that we would give them more information as we get it. He told us that he was on it and got to work. It was done within a few minutes because he had all the phone numbers added on to his computer and was able to send them that way.
There have been a few times that I have wished that we had never agreed to put this party together. I also know that once it is over I will be glad that we did. I know that having our kids in attendance at this ceremony is going to be very stressful for all of us adults. I am just hoping that they have someone that will be the one to complete their souls and help them grow as an adult, the one that makes them a better Alpha and a better Luna. Their father and their two grandfathers are going to be very protective of all four of them and so will I, but to an extent. The four of them are already ready for this event, and they already have their dresses and suites ordered and will be here the day before the ceremony. I am so worried as to what their outfits will look like and if they will be appropriate or not for this type of event. Although I know the grandmothers all too well. They will make the outfits according to the way the kids like them, but also make them look appropriate for the ceremony. We are hoping that there are not a lot of conflicts when it comes to finding everyone mates.
Although I know there are bound to be a few, I am hoping that everyone will be more civilized about it. William goes to his office to make a few calls and I go to my office to answer some emails and go to the boutique to make sure that everything was going according to schedule. I am so glad that everything is going well and right on schedule to be done in time for the ceremony. I knew that it was going to happen, but you just never know what might come up. I also noticed that the dresses and suites for all of us are done and that they look spectacular. Everything looks like it should be appropriate for the day. It is not revealing everything, as some packs allow their young ones to wear to events like this. Everything is just revealing enough for them to get noticed by their mates. I am so glad that we got them a plainer version of what the real thing was going to look like.
When I got back to the house, I asked the kids to put their outfits on and come see me in my office. I needed to talk to them about something. All four of them were there right as I was getting the door unlocked, and they told me that they were in their rooms trying everything on and making sure that they could get their hair and nails done a few days before the ceremony. I am so proud of their enthusiasm for this, and I just hope that they are not disappointed and thinking that they have to wear plain dresses and suites to the event. They don't know that we are having the real dresses brought to the house the day before, and they will be put in my office till the following morning and William will have the suites for the guys in his office. The kids will not be allowed into the offices until it is time to start getting ready. When I tell the kids this, they say that they will not come in and snoop around even though they know that they are allowed in here at any time for anything. I love them to the moon and back. I am so happy to be able to call these kids mine. They are truly great. They have always been so understanding and so grown up for their ages.
