After the Mating Ritual and Ceremony

The day after the Mating Ritual and Ceremony, the Alpha and Luna of the Night Howl Pack told William and me the story about how they were the only ones able to escape a rogue werewolf attack when the boys were just a year old. Just then, we hear a knock on the office door only to find that it's the children. They were all asking if they were all children of Alpha and how they were going to work out who took over the packs. We, adults, looked at each other and said the only thing that made any sense. We will have to pull the packs together and make us that much bigger. I then asked how it would work with 2 sets of alphas. The Night Howl pack is from the same region but about 3 hours away to the north from where we are currently. They are just as small as we are, if not smaller. Ayden and Shadow looked at William and me and said we could do what you both did and merge the packs, that is if the children wouldn't mind sharing the alpha's spot. "The children are still not old enough to make that kind of decision, but I think we should talk to the council about it." I said, looking at William, Ayden, and Shadow. They were all in agreement. I still cannot put my finger on the reason why I have been having the feelings that I do every time I am near the two of them.

While we are waiting for the Night Howl pack to get here. The Blue Rose Moon pack was getting everything cleaned up and ready for them to get here. I had to take William, Ayden, and Akeera off to the side and told them that I was going to go lay down because of my being pregnant with triplets this time. William tells me that he will help me to our room and help me lay down. he told me that he would let me know when the Night Howl Pack gets here. I told him that would be fine, but that I needed to talk to him alone anyway, but I did that through a mind link. William carried me up to our room while we were on our way up the stairs. We were talking to each other about the events of yesterday and how I was feeling about having more than just a single Alpha and Luna for our pack, instead of 3 sets, and how there might be a power struggle between the children if we agreed to this. I think our kids would be all good about it, but I am worried about their mates being the source if there happened to be a power struggle.

On the way to our room, I kept feeling like I was being mind-linked by someone else, so I told William about it, and he said he was getting the same thing, so when we got to our bedroom, we opened up the link to whomever it was. It just so happened to be the betas and the deltas telling us that they had overheard the Night Howl Alpha and Luna talking about when the children get older, then their children will take complete control over the pack so that they will not ever completely merge the packs. I looked at William like I was completely terrified for the safety of our pack and our children.

The next morning, I woke up to another mind link from some of the patrols saying that they kept crossing the scent of the Night Howl Alpha and Luna and maybe some rogues. As soon as I heard this, I looked over to my left to see William getting ready for what was getting ready to be at our door. I started getting ready and was ready in record time. I even had my makeup done in record time. We walked to the children's rooms to see that they had some who were elderly and other young ones that were not old enough to fight. I told one of the elderly ladies that we brought with us into the room that when we left to hit the button for the room to go into safety mode, all the windows and walls would turn into an unbreakable fortress just until they got the signal that it was all over and that we were all clear.

As we left the room, I saw the Night Howl Alpha and Luna. William and I took off after them and cornered them at the bottom of the stairs. Akeera looks at me and asks me if I got clearance from the pack doctor for what was coming. Then Ayden looked at William and had a smirk on his face that would make anyone's blood boil, and he told him that they were working with some of their other family. Then he looked at me and said that he was the one that wanted us to host the ritual and ceremony so that he could find any weaknesses in our territory, but then said, regrettably, he didn't find any. Um duh we keep everything in tiptop shape at all times.

I wanted to know where there were any weaknesses, so I asked Ayden and Akeera, and they said that there was no one to guard the dungeons that lead from the house to the basement and there was a way into the house from outside, but there was always a guard there. The guards at the entrance to the tunnels leading in and there are also guards on the outside of the house. The next one that they mentioned was the children’s rooms, which had a secret passage from our room to theirs but were hardly ever used. I immediately used my mind link to tell some of the guards and told them to go to the secret passage that is located in my room and make sure there is no one trying to get to our kids and the elderly if there is. That they were to get rid of them and I didn't care how old they were. I got a link back from William's twin brother, Josh’s wolf Beowulf, saying that they were there already and that they were ready for anyone that tried to come near that room. I asked him how he could have done that when the letter came from the head council leader and also my uncle named Rick.

As soon as Rick heard his name, he came around the corner and asked what was going on, and William and I told him that the rogues and the Night Howl Pack had decided to attack us to try to gain more power and to try to make their children the Alphas and Lunas of this pack as well as theirs. They were going to kill our children as well. We also told him that they were the ones that told him to send us the host invitation for the mating ritual and ceremony. He looked at me and William, who had shifted into his wolf, Shumani, and had Ayden and his wolf, Moonclaw, pinned up against the wall. Rick turned to me and William and noticed that I was getting ready to shift into my wolf, Star, when he looked over at me and said "I was the one that brought the hosting invite to you, and how would they have known about it?" I was the one that chose you for your region because the two of you and this pack know how to handle yourselves unlike the two of them and know how to keep your pack together. I asked him "How and why were we still trying to deal with these sorry excuses for werewolves?" Rick also told me that he was going to do some looking into what the Night Howl pack was about and who they were, especially when I told him about the feelings that I had been getting when ever I was near the two of them.

He looked at me and said with all truthfulness in his eyes and said Akeera had come to the council and asked if we knew any packs that had a grudge against us, and we told her that we didn't think that it was because all the packs had reported that we came to their aid when they were being attacked. About the time I was going to say something about that, Shadow and Ayden said that the Rose Moon Pack never came to their aid and I looked at her and said that if we had gotten a message about it, we would have. I looked at Ayden and asked how many times they had been attacked and how many times he had sent a message to us. He looked at Akeera and then back to me and said that the Night Howl pack had not been attacked since their kids were really little.

Since I was the one that kept all the files together and organized, I called for one of our warriors and clerk Carrie, and asked her to get my files from 7 years ago. She went to my office and grabbed my laptop off my desk and brought it out to me and put in my password so that I could tell her what to look for specifically. As soon as she found it, she pulled up the list of emails and other notes from back then. I asked her if there was an email from Moonclaw. When she looked at it from the side of her eyes, I knew that he had told another lie and so did Akeera when she looked at him and asked why he didn't say anything to us because she knew we were bigger and stronger than even they are. He told her that in all the packs that they had taken over and challenged and had won, he was sorry that she wasn't killed in the fights, and they had done it all to get enough power to take our pack next. Moonclaw wanted to rule over all of Arizona. He felt that he was the strongest wolf around. Well, my mate and I showed him just how weak he and Akeera really are. In all honesty, I wanted to just kill the two of them, but I was in no condition for that and since I knew that I would have to change into Star to do it, I was out of luck. For right now anyway.

Rick asked some of our warriors to escort Ayden and Akeera down to the dungeons to await their punishment. Ayden and Akeera looked at each other and then a smile was plastered on their faces as they were being taken down to their cells. They were screaming that they would get their revenge. They fought the whole way to their cells, which were on opposite sides of the dungeons. We did this so that they couldn't try anything like trying to escape or try to work together to try to escape. We put them in cells that had been dipped in wolfsbane and made of pure silver. I felt so bad for our four children, and their four children. I called the children to Williams' office once Ayden and Akeera had been taken to the dungeons. When they got there, we asked them the one question that had been on our minds the whole time. The question being if they knew anything that their parents were planning for them, and they told us that they didn't know anything about it. So William told them what had been overheard when he took me up to our room the day before. They said that they would not have allowed that to happen nor would they have allowed the murder of their mates or their loved ones. Just to become the Alpha and Luna of our pack. That they were so happy, and they already loved our children and would never let anyone ever hurt them.
