William and I and the rest of the pack, even the children, helped set up the new arrivals to get back with the rest of the pack. We were going to surprise them, and we even had extra houses built on the land for the ones who didn't want to live in the house. After the Night Howl Pack and our pack members left, William and I went to have a conversation with the Night Howl pups. I think they were old enough to know and understand what their parents were planning but were hopefully just kept out of the loop by them.
When we got to their rooms, we asked the four of them to come with us into Matt's room because we needed to talk to the four of them about something really important. When they got in the room with us, Harley said, "I think we already know what you are going to tell us, and we are OK with it." "They weren't very good parents anyway." What struck me as odd was that they didn't even show an ounce of sadness. It seemed like they were glad to be rid of their parents. I asked the four of them if they wanted to at least say goodbye to them and they said yes. We laid the Night Howl Alpha and Luna to rest in our cemetery for Ayden and Andrea. Matt and Harley asked if we could cremate them because they didn't want their souls to be able to move on and spend eternity with the moon goddess. I told them we could do that but that their wolves deserved to be able to be reincarnated into another person that would be good for them.
At about noon, everyone got home, and we let all the new pack members get settled into their new homes and some moved into the pack house. I knew we were going to have to build more rooms in the house eventually, and then we called everyone to the great hall for the new member ceremony. We got the ceremony started at about 6:00 or 7:00 in the evening. Everyone got into the festivities, even the pups, and their mates. We all had a great time. I took the Beta, Delta, and Gamma off to the side and asked if they would step down because we had those posts filled already, and they were happy to do it. They asked if they could still give any information to our ranked members for the council if it was needed and be at the meetings. Still, I told them yes, that would be a great idea. I asked our Betas, Deltas, and Gammas if they would be willing to hear any advice on some matters if the new members were willing to give it to them. They answered yes without a thought. William and I were glad that we still thought about including them in that stuff.
Mathew and Harley are a few years too late for the shift because they were not viewed as alpha pups in their old pack. Their mom and dad weren't the Alpha and Luna of the Night Howl pack. William and I found out right after the battle with them from one of the real Alpha and Luna's advisers. The real Alpha and Luna both died suddenly one night after peace talks with a couple of rouges went sour. They also told us that Ayden and Shadow were the ones who were trying to make a peace treaty with the real Alpha and Luna.
I told each one of the men to go and enjoy the party. I look at William, and he looks at his phone and walks over to me and tells me that we have an appointment with Doctor Peggy. I asked the ladies and our parents to come along. Our parents, I know they wouldn't want to miss it for the world, but the women said that they would love to, but they wanted to enjoy the party. That's fine. You all have fun. I will update everyone on how the babies are doing when we get back. That was all I told them and the rest of the pack before walking away with William. The whole pack, including the new members, have made sure that William and I have been well taken care of in the past weeks. I am still on bed rest but only for short periods at a time. Although I try to make the best of it when I am out of bed. At this point, I am ready for the pups to be born. I am getting tired of being carried or being in bed all the time. After the pups are born and William tries to carry me, he will have a fight on his hands.
The infirmary was set up and ready for us when we got there. I was taken right into a room for my exam. By this point, I was about 5 months along and so ready to have these three. I was tired of constantly being off of important decisions all the time and only being able to go for a run when I was not being treated like I was a newborn child or something. When Doctor Peggy came into the room, both of our fathers grumbled a lot because they had to leave the room so that I could get changed to have the exam done with William and our mothers helped me get changed in record time. When both of our fathers got back into the room, we started the exam and did another ultrasound and got to hear the heartbeat using a Doppler. We also learned we are having 3 more babies, 2 girls and 1 boy.
After the exam, while I was getting redressed, I asked Doctor Peggy "When do you think I should go into labor with these three?" Her reply was "You should go into labor in about 3 weeks to a month from now." I was happy about the news. In just a short while, I will get to hold my three brand-new children. William was happy to hear this as well. He told the rest of the pack through a mind link. I told him not to say the genders and that I wanted to have a gender reveal party in a couple of weeks. The doctor looked at me and said "Luna, I can't tell you what to do, but I think you should go on complete bed rest till you go into labor, because I am afraid that you might go into labor too soon and have the babies before they are ready." I looked at William and asked him "do you think that you can help me with it?" He looked at me with eyes that were full of happiness and then looked at the doctor and said, "we can do that we have to." I finally got ready to go and went to walk out of the room to go home and William picked me up bridal style and carried me saying that "bed rest starts now." I liked to be carried just not all the time, and everywhere I needed to go. That is one of the things I have always hated about being pregnant.
William carried me back home from the hospital. When we got back to the main house, the party was still going on. Although we were only gone for about two hours, it was already nine o'clock at night. On our way back, we told the pack that we would be having a party called a gender reveal for the pups, and at the same time, we would be giving the eight older pups a present, and I asked some of the guys to go hang out with the boys and get ideas on what each of them likes. I asked some of the wolves to do the same as the girls. William and both of our fathers were talking about doing some remodeling to the house, which I was happy about because it needed some remodeling done to it. I told him that the remodeling had to be done before the party, and he said that they were going to get on it the next day, which made me feel a little better. Even though I knew it was going to get loud around the house. I knew they could get it done in that timeframe, but I was worried that it wouldn't be the way I wanted it to be. "I know you wanted to surprise me, but you know I hate surprises," was all I told William and our dads. They told me that I would have a say in every aspect of the remodel.
Over the next couple of weeks, we had the house remodeled, and we were getting ready for the party when I got a call from Jamie and Kim asking if they could come to the party for the kids. I told them that they could, but if they started acting like they were there for something other than the children, then they would be made to leave. Then they agreed right away and said that they would be there the following day and would help with any preparations that needed to be made. I told them that I was on bed rest for the next week to three weeks and that we were going to need a lot of help and that we were happy to have them. I was a little afraid that they would do all the decorating and make the party all about them. I was just hoping that they would follow the directions that I was going to be giving them. As the days went on and the remodel was almost complete, I started getting my list of things that I needed help with getting done.
I put everything in a checklist format so that they could just put a check mark as they got their tasks completed. I handed them to all the members and asked that they include the new members in their tasks. They told me that they would have everything completed and ready by the day of the party in a few weeks. Jamie and Kim were the two that I gave the tasks that would take two people to complete, like getting all the decorations and getting the new members to help them out with getting everything set up and making sure that everything stayed hidden from William and me, because I wanted it to be a surprise for both of us. I wanted the day to be a surprise for all of us. I knew that everyone was going to try to make me the center of attention, and that is something that I am not going to be happy about. I am not one to be the center of attention, unlike a few of the people in this pack. We have to deal with the ones that try to take all the attention from the party for themselves by shutting them down before it starts, or the whole thing will be ruined for everyone.
I know that my sisters and Williams brothers are some that seek all the attention, but I am hoping that they can reign themselves in for that day. I have already told everyone that were wanting to go just to seek out any attention that if they try anything to take the attention off of the new pups, they will be made to leave and will not be permitted back while the party is going on. I looked down at my belly and thought "just a few more weeks, little ones, then we will all get to meet you." I can't wait to meet our little nuggets. I could tell that the pack as a whole were excited about the pups, just like William and the older pups were. While I was in our room with our moms along with Cheyenne and Layla, the girls and their mates came to the door and knocked. My mother walked over to open the door. When I shook my head, she opened it and the kids came in and asked if they could join in on the party we were having, and I mumbled that it wasn't a party, it was like I was under house arrest and wasn't allowed to get out anymore. I knew they had all heard me because they all started laughing. I told them it wasn't funny at all and if they kept laughing they could leave, and they stopped right away. They told me that it wasn't house arrest and that it was just a precaution and I told them that Star felt the same way because she is not allowed to go for a run until after I have the pups. Star is not happy about being on total bed rest because then she can't go for a run every now and again. The part I am not happy about is the headache she is going to give me by the time we have to go into the hospital. I already know I am going to have a massive headache by the time the next month is over.
