Mating Ritual and Ceremony

Today is the day before the mating ritual and ceremony. Everyone was getting everything ready for the next night. All the Omegas and coming-of-age pups were getting last-minute preparations done on their outfits, and their hair and nails were being done in the salons that were located off to the left of the packhouse about fifty yards away. I was happy to see that everyone was getting all of their last-minute preparations finished.

I went to the great hall to check on the decorations and everything going on in there and I saw some unmated pairs all hanging out in the great hall and helping out with all the decorations. Bobby was with Ashley and Tyler was with Kasey. I see a pair that I think might be a mated pair because they have been together since childhood. Billy was with Billie Jo. They are doing the same as usual. They are standing close and giggling at each other. They act like William, and I did when we first mated and got to know each other. Everyone sees me standing there and stops what they are doing. I just smiled and told them "I was just watching all of you having a good time and getting to know one another and that I was glad to see it." I turned around as William and the others were coming to check out the decorations and everything to see how everything was coming along. Everything in the packhouse was going exceptionally well. The outside looked great. It all looked like it was going to be a wonderful night. i just hoped that everything went according to plan.

The next day was the day of the mating ritual and ceremony, so William and I got up and made the kids up and ready for the day. We went to the dining room to have breakfast with the rest of the pack, then we were going to go to the outskirts of the territory to where my father and mother lived to get ready for the night. We had the garment bags and everything put into the backseat of my truck the night before, as well as all the jewelry and all the accessories that were needed for the night. The kids were going to be getting ready in my old room along with me and my mother. My sisters, if they were going, would be in their room. The boys, my dad, and William would be in my mom and dad's bedroom, because we knew what it was going to be like at the house with all the mated pairs. We called his parents, and they are going to come over to my parent's house to spend time with us and the kids, as well and help us get ready for this event. I am just not sure if my sisters are going to attend or not. Even though they are old enough, they just don't have their own wolves yet.

I looked at William with a look like something was wrong, but I couldn't figure out what it could be till he smelled the change and realized it was coming from me. William got the same look on his face that I had on mine the whole time we were walking through the house and as we got into the truck, he linked me. "Wife, I think you are pregnant again. I can smell it, you're sent is very different. You usually smell like a mix of roses and the afternoon breeze. Now you smell like honey and clover ", I told him "Husband, I think you are right." We got the kids and ourselves in the truck and ready to go. The kids got into James's car so that he could get everyone back without getting everything all messed up. He looked at me when we were getting into our dark blue 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab with an extended bed on it after getting the kids in their seats. This truck was huge. I looked at him and said, "We can go see the pack OBGYN and healers when we get home before the ritual and ceremony starts." He started the truck and pulled out of the garage to head out to my father's house. William looked at me and said, "Okay, or we can have them meet us at your dad's house." No, I just want to have a day full of love and visiting since we haven't been able to since Easter.

We got to my dad's house about 30 minutes later, and they were out on the front porch waiting for us. I greeted my father and mother with hugs and kisses. Williams' parents were already there. We walked into the house, and we then stopped in the living room to say hi and hug my sisters Jamie and Kim. They asked James, Anthony, Nicole, and Leah if they wanted to hang out in the house with them, and they told them that they wanted to go out to the backyard for a bit before they came back in to get ready, as William and me, along with our parents, walked through the house. My father and mother still had their old play set still in the yard that our fathers and William put together when the kids were little. They even still had a toy box outside on the lawn from when they were children. William and I needed to talk to our parents for a few minutes, so I asked my sisters and our kids to go into the house for a few minutes so that our parents could talk about the event that is going to be going on at the pack house tonight. The girls understood that it was a conversation between alphas, so they did what was asked of them.

Before coming out to the yard, both of my sisters had told us that they missed us and that they wished we could visit more, but with me, "part of the pack," and they wished to come to the ritual and ceremony tonight to see if they were werewolves or not. I asked the girls “Have you had a coming-of-age ceremony where you find your inner wolf and go for a run to get to know everything about them.” They shook their heads yes and said that it was just the two of them as well as mom and dad. I told them "To talk to mom and dad about it and, if they agree, we will take them." That was one of the first things we were going to talk about when we had the yard for just the adults. Once the backyard was clear of young adult ears and my sisters, I turned to my mother and father and asked if they remembered having a coming-of-age ceremony for the girls or not. They looked at each other and said that they thought that they remembered that they just had the girls and themselves because the girls are such late bloomers. My mom asked what made me ask that question. I told her that Jamie and Kim wanted to go to the ritual and ceremony. My father asked, "William, do you remember the first time you went to a ritual and ceremony?" Everyone looked at him, and even I looked. He says "Yes, it was the first one I remember going to be the one that I met Rose at." William and everyone turned to me and looked at me to see what I was going to say or do. I looked at them and walked over to William and wrapped my arms around him and said, "I remember that too. It was the first one right after my coming of age ceremony. It was held at your pack house." My father asked if I remembered how old we were. Then I told him that I had just turned 18 and William was 19 then.

The girls came out and looked at my father and mother and asked, "Can we go to the ritual and ceremony tonight?" My father and mother looked at me and asked if "they should be allowed to go". I tell them "That the girls have asked me, and I told them to ask you." They look at each other and back at the girls and finally say "Okay, we have found out they are late bloomers, and being that they are in their early to middle '20s, and they still just got their wolves." The rest of us had found our wolves at the age of 17. I looked at my father and asked "I am so proud of the sisters that I have, even though they just got them that they will be okay with all of us there to help keep them out of trouble. I told the girls that I would let everyone know the truth and that if they met their mates that they were under my protection, and they were not to be harmed." About that time, Wendy went back over to the girls and asked if they had any other dresses they could wear for the night. I told them that we might have to check at the boutique. I asked my dad, George, and William, if they would be willing to hang out here with my dad and the boys while we women went to the boutique to get the girls dressed for tonight. They told me that they would be happy if it would give them some time just to hang out, and they were going to watch some TV while we were gone. I told them that we were going to have to hurry because we were going to have to get ready and then head back to the main house. They told me that they could get everything done in an hour or two, and we would still be back in time to have some lunch. Leah and Nicole asked if they could come and Jamie said yes and that they needed their opinion on the type and color of dress to get. They asked George if they could drive his car and he tossed the keys to Cheryl and told her to drive the girls there and back.
