Sephora’s POV Alpha Jason clapped his hands in laughter while standing before me. He just visited and I showed up to attend to him only to laugh me into shame. “Just say something…” I screeched at him, I just hope he's not here to make fun of me because he's good at doing that whenever I'm irritated. He stared at me for a while after pausing his laughter only to start over again. I hit his back making him rest his back on the pillar…..anyone who sees the both of us will think I'm disrespecting the Alpha King, but he told me never to be formal with him as we are still friends even though he was married to his mate—while I already swore within me never to see him as an Alpha when we are together. “Finally, this is how you ended because of your stubbornness.” he finally said something, and that was irritating. “I waited for your return and even sent my guards to your place but they came back with the news of you not being around…so I decided to visit, it's three days already.” “That's fine, just go back so I can go back to duty.” I shunned him. He scoffed. “King Jon made the right choice, this is a sign that his love for you is genuine. He doesn't wish that you leave his side no matter what…so make sure you get pregnant before the end of this month.” he jabbered. I clenched my fist and sent it towards him but he dodged it. “You need to be fast so another woman won't take that seat—you know how pressuring the councils can be when it comes to the King getting a Luna. once you're pregnant…neither of you will have a choice.” he continued. Standing with him was making me more furious, so I walked out of his sight. “Don't forget my advice, and be a good servant and guard as always,” he screamed at me. I turned to see him staring at me, smiling sheepishly. That dickhead can never be serious, how can he advise me to get pregnant for someone I disgust? I headed to the assembly chamber where the King was, his eyes were affixed on me as I walked closer to him. “I overheard everything…you should get pregnant for me right?” I shook my head. “He was just joking, that's how our friendship is. And there's no way I'll let you lay your hands on me…” He laughed for a while. “Says who? Every woman in this palace belongs to me, especially you who is my right-hand servant—so I can easily strip your clothes and you dare not pull out of my grip.” That was so annoying because I won't let him do that to me when I'm not a slut. I am not as cheap as he thinks. “Cut the crap! Let's say it's a misunderstanding, Jason didn't mean what he said, he only came to check on me." I retorted and he smiled. “I love your braveness, to tell the King to shut the crap…” I got to my knees that moment…I wouldn't deny being brave, but I think it's only meant for defense. He climbed down from his throne and held my hand, I stood up and bent my head. “Don't forget that you're just a servant and nothing else.” he let go of my hand and left the chamber. I grimaced, seeing him that serious and harsh wasn't what I wanted. This is the first time since I came to the palace that he took my word to heart and was mean. “He's beginning to hate me. He's no longer seeing me as his mate but just a servant.” I slapped my head. I shouldn't be bothered, besides I don't want him. But why am I feeling uneasy because of how he acted just now? I hurried out of the chamber in order to meet up with him. We walked into his bedroom and the blood running in my veins drained all of a sudden. “So this is why he changed and began acting mean?” before my very eyes, he walked to the bed and sat before Sierra, Jasper's sister. I wonder what he came to the palace to do—that b***h hated me even when I was still dating his brother and was in support of me being rejected. Now here she is, knowing that the king is my mate. She kissed his cheek and sat on his thighs. “I'll leave the both of you for a moment.” I drew their attention. I wouldn't want to watch any stupid drama that will go on between the both of them. Lycan king turned to me. “Don't step an inch out of this room.” I gritted my teeth in anger. Is this his way of paying back the embarrassment on his coronation day? I know it must be embarrassing to him that his mate wanted a rejection, but he shouldn't blame me…I've been embarrassed several times and that didn't make me retaliate. They were murmuring so I wouldn't hear their discussion, not until Sierra kissed his lips twice. I was so infuriated, she's so devilish. I wonder why she wouldn't go after her mate and let go of mine ...even though I want a rejection, that doesn't mean some women will do this with him in my presence. She caressed his face, staring into his eyes. I couldn't stand it any longer, I rushed towards her and pushed her to the floor—and the anger in me subsided. “What did you just do?” the King growled at me. I bowed to him, wanting to say something but couldn't. Sierra stood from the ground and landed a heavy slap on my face. “How dare you push me to the ground? Do you know how expensive the clothes I'm putting on are?” I won't watch my fellow woman lay a finger on me when I'm on my right. I have fought many male and female warriors and won, so Sierra can't step on my toe and go scot-free. I grabbed her by her hair and yanked it hard, then landed a heavy hit on her face which made her stagger around. “Your Majesty!” she cried out, I wonder if she went blind. “This b***h must be punished.” she voiced out. “Punished my foot. You're the one who deserves that, why would you come after my mate after watching your brother reject me? Do you even have a conscience at all?'' I yelled at her. She opened her eyes, the Lycan King was still seated watching us. “You don't want him, and I've been crushing on him all this while. Do you think I'll let you have him?” “And I promise to make this palace hot for you if you keep staying here. I am his mate and we never rejected each other.” I blurted. She smirked. “You're a servant now, you already missed your opportunity.” “I agree that I'm a servant, but it's a pleasure being his right-hand servant and guard—so you ought to stay away from him.” I retorted, sweating profusely. “Not when I'm his mistress already and will be crowned after four weeks of being in the palace, learning everything I have to know about the internal court,” she uttered, smiling. I froze. Did I hear her say that she's his mistress and will soon be Luna? One reason I have to forget about men and focus on my life. My eyes fell on King Jon, he shrugged his shoulders, staring and smiling at me. “That was unexpected! He already forgot about me and moved on. Trust men at your own risk.” I thought and stormed out of the room angrily.
