IAN I can feel Nicole's fear. It's emitting off her in waves and affecting me, but I try to push down my protective instinct. The urge to take her into my arms and drive away all her fears is overwhelming, but I know that'll scare her more than it'll comfort her. I hit the gas and speed off, driving as fast as I can to get to her family. The moment I drive into the parking lot, Nicole is out of the car before it even stops. I park and rush after her as she stumbles into the hospital. We get into an elevator and her scent has doubled with fear and worry. It's as if the closer we get to her family, the more scared she becomes. Her hands are shaking as they grip the hem of her work shirt, while she bounces nervously on her heels. It's driving me crazy that I can't do anything to ease her
