CHAPTER FOUR

I was thoroughly exhausted. I snuggled into his chest and drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, he wasn't there, but every part of me was singing.

Stretching my limbs, I felt great for the first time in my life. I think I'm the luckiest she-wolf. I was cartwheeling inside, the Alpha-to-be and my childhood crush just confessed his love for me. But where is he?

I giggled as I walked to the bathroom. "He must have gone back to his house," I said to myself. "I should know better. He's the Alpha-to-be, and he must have gone to attend to his duties."

I stood before the mirror, observing the numerous love bites adorning my body. Blushing, I examined them closely, noticing the increased curves of my breasts and hips. Lost in my pleasurable thoughts, a sudden bang at the door snapped me back to reality.

"Alexia! Alexia!" I heard the head cook shouting and knocking frantically at my door, as if she was going to break it down. I had been working throughout the previous day, and now she wouldn't even allow me to sleep.

"I'm coming, please don't break down the door," I called out, moving slowly to open it. Damn! I needed that sleep.

"You silly girl, don't you know it's time to come to work? Who do you think would do your work for you?" she scolded. pushing past me into my small room.

"Please give me a few more minutes. I'm just super tired, I can't help it," I said as I hurried into the bathroom to take my bath, still smiling from the pleasure of last night.

"Okay, okay, I'm getting off now," I said as I hurried out of the bathroom at lightning speed, getting dressed and putting my hair in a ponytail. I was ready for work.

The rest of the day didn't go as I wanted, of course, it was the usual grind of work, work, work.

However, the day was particularly stressful as the royal hall was being decorated in grand style. New furniture was being arranged, and fresh flowers were being cut.

Despite the workload, I wasn't bothered at all. I tackled it as if it were nothing. The joy of being in love filled me completely, and I kept working with a light heart.

"Get working, Alexia. We don't have all day," I heard the slave house supervisor nagging at me.

"I'm feeling nauseous and light-headed," I lied, "would you allow me to use the bathroom for a moment?" I said, but I didn't wait for her reply.

I walked in the direction of the bathroom and then hurried off to the Alpha's house to see Davies, the love of my life.

Hannah the maid let me in since she knew who I was. I climbed the staircase to his room. I slowly turned the door knob hoping to sneak him on him.

What i saw broke my heart. There he was having s*x with another girl. I cleared my throat to get their attention. She was moaning his name but nevertheless he heard me

I watched as they abruptly halted their rendezvous. It seemed more like Davies stopping and pushing himself away from her than anything else. I saw anger and rage burning in her eyes, fierce as fire.

Who the hell is she? The female said outraged.

"She's a nobody, just a sore loser" he answered dismissively.

The words hit me hard and my heart skipped a beat. ''What do you mean by she's nobody?'' I asked, my body feeling unstable, I responded, trying to make sense of his words.

"Who allowed you in, and what gives you the effrontery to come into my house and talk back at me Omega?" He barked. "I'll forgive you this one time. And if you must know, I found my mate."

I tried to contain my frustration and process his words.

''Davies, you can't be serious. This is not a time for jokes or playing around. We had s*x last night, and you told me you love me. And here you are with another woman," I exclaimed, struggling to keep my emotions in check.

"I am not playing you, Alexia," Davies declared firmly. "What we had was a one night stand. I was drunk, and I needed to f*ck. I believe you’re not stupid enough to know that I'll never give up my mate for an ordinary Omega like you who would never be in the same rank as an Alpha.”

He continued, "And she's not just another woman. Her name is Sarah, and she will be the Luna of this pack. She's destined to bring good luck to this pack, unlike an ill-fated person like you."

My heart sank at his words as I stared at him on the bed and i had no iota of strength in me anymore. I furrowed my brow, trying to make sense of everything that was happening.

The gentle and sweet Davies I've always known, the one who held me last night, seemed to vanish all of a sudden.

"You took my virginity just to be with a different woman?" I interrupted him."

"Yes, I was curious about what it would be like to f**k an Omega. Needless to say, you are the best I've been with. However, both of us know that it is Sarah who I am in love with"

His blue eyes locked with my green ones, and I shook my head, trying to process his words. Surely, he couldn't be serious. He couldn't be saying this, could he?

"Davies, please. We've been friends please don't do this to me"

"That friendship ended last night! We come from different ranks, and an omega cannot be matched with an alpha," he interjected, cutting me off.

"If you want to stay alive, I suggest no one hears of this. Otherwise, I'll rip that tongue out of your mouth, feed it to you, and then kill you" his voice dripping with scorn.
