Chapter 3: The car ride

Skylar's POV

"Hey, Wilby?" I ask

"Oh, I haven't heard that one in a while."

"Yeah, I feel bad for snapping at you so...."

"It's all good Sky-Sky," he replies teasingly; I roll my eyes. "What's up?"

"Can you turn up the radio, please?"

"Sure"

"Can you change the channel, please?" I ask him as the song reminds me of Tommy.

"Because it reminds you of Tommy?" I stare at him in shock, "Tommy told me," he says before I can ask how he knows. I swear he can read my mind.

"Oh," is all I dare risk saying without my voice cracking.

Wilbur's POV

"Oh," is all I hear her say as I change the station. The first thing I hear is a familiar drumbeat.

"She's always asking, "Am I alright?"

As if auspicious or in my pint

I'll find the answer or a good night

Thank God the time is short

"Hey, Will? Do you know who sings this? It's good," I didn't reply.

"...way back then in school?

"....oh my johnson....." She says, processing. My band, Lovejoy, is not popular in America, and I've never told anyone in my family about it, so I wasn't surprised by her reaction.

"OH, MY JOHNSON!! YOU SING IT!!"

"Oh, my Johnson?" I couldn't help but laugh at the exclamation,

"Mum would yell.....*yawn* at me whenever I would say, 'oh my god,' so my friend a- *yawn* and I would say 'Jonhson' in... replace.... of 'god,'" Sky explained.

"Okay, but why that name?"

No response.

"Sky?"

No response. I look back in my mirror to see my little sister passed out; I'll ask her later. I smile and shake my head. There is still an hour and a half drive, so I let her sleep.

*RINGGGGG*

Who is calling me? I look at my phone and it's Tommy.

"Tommy what's wrong?"

"Hey will, can you pick me up from Tobys house?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I'll tell you later" Tommy hangs up right had he said that.

Welp looks like I'm going that way.

TIME SKIP TO 10 MINUTES UNTIL THEY ARRIVE AT WILLS HOUSE

I start to hear whimpering.

"Sky, are you okay?"

Nothing

"Skylar?"

She starts to shake
