Love at First Trance

We stood in the crowded driveway of the smitthins American foursquare house, I stood there shaking nervous. Tia looks at me and hands me a pink flask.

"Have some and you'll be fine. I know you don't drink but you have to loosen up a little."

I grabbed it with no hesitation and suckled down what tasted like poison. It burned my chest and nose. Immediately I felt the shakes leave my body and stood in a confident stance.

"Ugh, f**k. I am ready"

Tia looked at me with big eyes

"Jeeze girl keep it up and you'll wind up dancing too" we both laughed and held hands as we made our way inside.

Here comes adam running up to her with a big kiss

"There's my cheerleader, looking as stunning as ever. Oh, hey electra very glad to see you here"

I stand there with a smile and waved. He lead us to the section of the house with 2 long L shaped couches. Leather of course. The area was filled with a bunch of his friends, including adalius. He stared at me and nearly gave me the chills so I told tia I was going to get us a drink and immediately walked toward the kitchen. I grabbed 2 beers and just as I turned around Mia and her group of friends are standing in my face with a smile on.

"I see you finally made it out here. I would wish you a happy birthday but we all know that's the only wish that wouldn't come true coming from me" they laugh and I just roll my eyes.

"Happy birthday mia" I said in an obvious uninterested voice. I then made my way through them and muttered "stupid b***h" under my breath.

I went back to the couches to see tia conversating with adam and doing that lovey-dovey crap. So I don't bother i just find an empty seat in the house and sat there drinking by myself. Just as I was ready to open the other can someone came and swiped it from me and cracked it open. He took it to his lips and gulped it down. Then looked at me with a straight face. Those dark grey eyes made my heart sink down to my stomach.

Holy s**t! It was adalius! What in the possible heck do I do? I've heard stories of him having temper problems, girls were always all over him, he was demanding and somewhat controlling. He was a little stand offish. I was More scared than anything. Drunk and scared. Jesus electra get your s**t together and just stand up, walk away NOW!

I stood up and tried to walk away but adalius just stood in front of me, he intimidated me. Every time I tried to walk he'd stand in my way. Great. I stood there tapping my empty can nervously looking around to see if tia would come to check up on me, but I remember isolating my damn self. How stupid. He puts one hand on the wall then tilts his head to the side like something caught his eye.

Adalius lifts his hand and brushes my hair behind my ear with his warm fingers. I flinched a little. He chuckled. "You know, I love Rose's. Although white resembles death, white also means pure"

Just then I get that rush of butterflies again and begin to relax my mind and thoughts. This time I could feel this burning sensation in me, it felt like fire and I wanted to run so badly for my life, but I didn't. I stood there staring into his eyes. I could almost hear his thoughts in a language I couldnt understand. Time slowed, he put his thumb to my lips and dragged it down to my chin. My heart nearly beat its way out of my chest.

"Electra."

Hearing my name escape his lips for the first time made me shake again I backed away and everything was back to normal. God he was so sexy. His white T shirt, black leather hoodie, dark fitted Jean's. That messy hair look with the faded sides. His sharp jaw line and incredible smile with the 2 cutest dimples. His skin was the color of copper. How'd he get that tan? Who cares he's sexy.

I bit my lip as my eyes focused on him and only him.

Just then I snapped out of it shaking my head. I felt like I was under a trance.

"You stole my beer!" The only words that came to mind.

"I happen to know what's mine, and I usually have no problem in taking the things I posses" as he gave me a sexy firm look.

"A big and bad wolf like you couldn't go and fetch your own drink?" I stood there pretending to be upset with my arms crossed

Just then his eyes widened with fire.

"A big bad wolf, like me?" He pinned me to the wall gripping my shoulder.

"A little puppy like you should bark wisely" my insides were burning up, I started panting.

"Breathe for me, breathe harder" I took deeper breaths and could feel my body trembling. I closed my eyes when he grabbed me by my waist close to his. He pushed us through a crowd of guys standing around us. Why the hell were they watching us? Creepers. I don't know what just happened or if I should feel scared but I wasn't. I felt connected to him.

"Looks like you're stuck with me for the night since your bestfriend stole mine. Besides I already told tia I'd look after you" I pushed him away. "You dont need to babysit me, I have other people i could hang with here!" I said confidently.

"Oh really? Where?" His wise ass takes a look around. And holds me close again as he looks into my eyes.

"I dont think you have a choice here" I was offended but he was right.

Damnit tia!! I should have known she put him up to this. I feel a little insulted, maybe I was bored but it wasnt that, it was the fact that I made it obvious. God help me!

"What are you doing adalius?"

Mia is here again, only this time she looks upset.

"What I do is non of your concern, get out of my way Mia"

He slightly shoves her to the side. Shes already drunk.

"ADALIUS! You're only following her around because shes a virgin!" She mocks. Everyone turned to look at us laughing.

I stood there in embarrassment. Almost ready to cry when he says

"Maybe that's why I didn't follow you around" he grabs my hand tighter and walks me outside. Mia always had a thing for adalius too, maybe that's why we aren't friends anymore. As we're walking I turn to look back and see mia so upset shes crying. Dramatic as ever.

We enter the backyard and its huge. In a short distance I could see the forest, and above it the moon with clouds surrounding it, giving it just enough room to light up the entire yard. I stood there staring at it. I closed my eyes for a moment. I wished the sun could shine this way but the moonlight did something to me.

It made me hear a voice inside, an actual voice that I could feel too. Adalius holds me from the back and whispers into my ear:

"The brightest star in the sky is actually the moon. She is important. Let her into you"

I took a deep breath and gave in. I felt a warm rush of butterflies flutter throughout my body. I heard a voice speak within me

"I am Luna, light of the night.

They shall sing to us as we become one" I hear howling as if a thousand wolves had surrounded us. I burned inside even more and fell to the ground I started to sweat and I could barely catch my breath.

"Adalius! What's-what's happening to me?!" And just then I blacked out.

The next morning I woke up and felt like a completely different person. I ran to the bathroom to puke my guts out then took a hot shower. I got dressed and headed straight to tias.

"Electra I heard what happened with mia and I am so deeply sorry! I shouldn't have left you hanging, I want you to know she didnt hear the end of it last night! Adalius and adam made sure of it!"

"Let's go get some coffee please" she nods ok.

We walk down to the coffee shop where we worked. We were off today, but it was also pay day and I just needed some coffee.

We sat at the table.

"Electra where's your coat?"

I looked at her shocked at myself. I forgot to wear it. I was feeling pretty warm this morning so I guess that's why.

"Um I felt I didn't need it today, the weather seems nice and warm."

"Yah no kidding you're wearing a tube top and jeans today, you seem totally different.. did you and adalius...ya know..." my eyes widened and cheeks tinted red

"TIA NO!"

She laughed.

"So how are you feeling overall though? You really do seem different.."

I looked down at my coffee trying to gather my thoughts. I'm not even sure what happened to me.

"My head is pounding..Is this what a hangover is supposed to feel like?" I looked up at her with a smirk, and she smiled back.

"Sip away, I'll grab us some lemon water to go".

We head straight to the town mall because tia has a shopping habbit. I pick out a few outfits from different stores. Just then my body fills with anger, I could feel the presence of someone I was all to familiar with. I turned to look and I see Adalius walking around with a strawberry blond in a bright red long sleeved romper. That inner voice in me growled and shook my body up. Tia noticed and grabbed me by my hand.

"Dont pay him any attention, dogs will be dogs. Let's go get a pretzel" I ordered the cinnamon with extra butter (don't judge me ok) then we sat at the nearest table.

"Oh, my God ELECTRA! Hottie alert looking your way" she squeals excitingly.

I look up and a few tables away sits a handsome dark haired man wearing a black long sleeved fleece. He was staring at me when he got up to walk toward our table. I continued to eat uninterested.

"Is this seat taken?" Tia pulls a chair out smiling at me.

"It is now!"

"Its freezing out, shouldn't you be wearing a jacket?" as he takes the one from his arm and tries to put it around me. I back away "no, thank you. Its warm and it'll make me hot" he sits back down smiling.

"You look hot" as he sits there sipping his soda. I ignore him.

"Sorry guys but I have to go to the little girls room *wink wink*" Tia runs off. oh no she isn't! She obviously forgot what happened when she left me alone last night... ugh i know for a fact she went shopping again. But Why am I acting like this? Finally a guy shows interest in me and I am blowing him off. Why do I have this feeling I hate it.. all I could think of was adalius and how he had the nerve to be with another woman. I felt like he was mine, like we connected in a different way but I guess I was wrong. Tias right I shouldn't pay him any mind.

"Well my name is lucien it's nice to meet you" as he puts his hand out.

"Oh I'm sorry for being rude, I'm Electra" I said with a smile.

"Wow, that name is so beautiful! It suites you. So, electra-fying" he winks.

I blush and laugh. That was pretty corny, but I think I like corny.

We go on in conversation and share laughs. Tia finally gets back and I tell him it's time for us to leave.

"How about we catch a movie some time?" I said with a confident voice.

"What-of course! You seemed a little mean at first, and nice which is confusing but totally hot" we both laughed and exchanged numbers. We hug and he walks off.

"Wow, that was fast" she says hiding her smile.

"What? Hes funny and polite. Things that I didn't find in adalius. "

"You know what I actually need to pee this time I'll be back!"

Ugh. I knew it. As I'm gathering my things I feel someone hovering over me. Yes, it's adalius..

I roll my eyes before putting my head in my hands. He pulls a chair close to me wraps one arm around me.

"I leave you alone for half a day and you're out here getting some strangers number? What the hell do you think you're doing?" He slams the table with his hand.

"ELECTRA!" He says in a desperate but demanding voice.

I'm confused!

"What do you want from me adalius? I don't have the energy for this." I stand up and before walking away he grabs my arm.

"You better be careful of who you try to bring into your life, Anyone can and will be removed with ease. I will see to it you never speak with him again!"

I pull my arm back.

"Ok first of all you don't get to threaten me. Secondly, you don't have a say in who I can and can't talk to. I will do what I want when I want. Find your little girlfriend and leave me alone!" Just then tia gets back.

"Adalius not now please we have to go." She grabs my hand and we walk away. For some reason my heart ached. I looked back and he stood there with clenched fists. I had so many questions but I didnt want to worry about it. He just confuses me now. But I crave him.. What is this feeling?
