Jace pov The first scream came from outside just as I was making my way toward the parking lot, my mind still churning over Grace's departure. The sound cut through the evening air like a knife—high-pitched, terrified, and abruptly silenced. My head snapped toward the sound, every instinct suddenly on high alert. Around me, other wolves had frozen as well, their conversations dying mid-sentence as they processed what they'd heard. Then came the howls. Dozens of them, wild and savage, coming from all directions at once. "Rogues!" someone shouted, and chaos erupted. The community center's doors burst open as panicked wolves flooded back inside, some already shifting, others trying to shepherd the younger participants to safety.
