Mending a broken spirit

Chapter 8

Axel's POV....

After getting the dog in her jeep she comes out of the house. I say " Hey baby girl do you need any help?" She looks at me and says " No I'm good almost done just need a few more things." I walk back into the house and see thst she has a note left on the kitchen table. She has her bags and what I assume is her importnant doccumnets. She looks up at me and says " can you help me with these few things and then we can leave?" I look at her and say " sure." I grab the bags she asked me too and I help her load up her jeep. Once her jeep is loaded I tell her to follow me to the Hell Hounds MC.

Once we get to the clubhouse its more like a compound we have. Its a huge pice of property there are houses in the back for all of the officers like the prez and vp and so on. There are 2 huge garadges 1 main club house where the kitchen and church room. There are smaller bunk houses as we call them but they are huge there are 10 apartments in each. There are 2 buildings the first building is for all of the officers stay when they dont have a house in back. Some even live off the compound with their families. As we pull up to the gate I tell the prospect at the gate that the jeep is with me and to not ask quesrions. He listens for once but she follows me to where my apartment is. After i offically claim her she will chose one of the houses in back of the 5 for the officers.

Once we park I help her with the dog and her things and head into the building thank god no one is out. Once we are inside I quickly show her around and help her fet settled. I show her were the bathroom is and she heads in to shower. After we both shower and change we head off to the clubhouse for lunch. Surprisingly she is able to keep pua off leash and shs listens its amazing at what she has this dog trained to do. I can't stop staring at her as we walk over to the the clubhouse its a short walk. Once we get inside thats a whole different story.

Shawn's POV....

After we both shower and head over to the clubhouse for lunch. Axel is amazed at Pua for how well she dose with her listening and obediance. She is in a heal and walking by my side for protection off leash its easier that way. Once we get inside the club house I become more nervous. As soon as we walk in Axel walks in before me and heads to where the tables are located across the room. Pua is scared of something and her hackles are raised so I start to command her in sing language. She responds and we get in the door no sooner than we are in dose this man walk over to us. He says " Hot damn when did we get a new w***e so suck us off and she has a dog she must be fistey." He starts to grab for me and I start to back away scared out of my mind at what he is about to do. Pua comes in between us and starts to groweling and showing her teeth to protect me. The man tries to grab for me and I let out a wimper and Pua lunges for the man. At this point Axel hears Pua going nuts and runs over to me. He says " What the f**k are you doing prospect this is my women she is not a w***e and clearly she is not interested. Plus her dog would have ripped you a new ass." I just start to cry and shake at this point I don't like being touched. Axel can see this he comes over to me and pulls me to his chest and envelopes me in his arms.

I feel so safe in his arms I continue to cry silently. I did not even know I was shaking at this point until Axel says something. " Baby girl I have you and your safe Pua allerted me to the danger and I came right over. I am glad yoy have her so she can tell me when there is danger around you." I dont know why but this dose make me feel safer. He keeps ahold of me with one arm and lifts my chin with fhe other wiping a few stray tears. I say " I don't know what he was going to do I was scared." He says " I know baby girl but Pua told me you were in danger. I am here now I'm sorry I walked away. I have not claimed you yet nor told the club about you. I should have stayed by your side the whole time I'm sorry baby can you forgive me?" I just look into his eyes and say " yes but please don't leave ne alone again." He starts to chuckle and rub small circles on my back. At this point Pua is relaxed and sitting at our feet. I start to feel a lot of eyes on me. Axels says " Are you ready to meet my extended family?" I think he can tell with the look of horror in my eyes and he says " Baby girl don't be scared I will be eight here with you the whole time if this is too much tell me and we can go back home." It feels weird for him to call his apartment our home its his home not mine.

I am going to have to talk to him about helping with bills and rent and how long I can stay. I have to remember to talk with him later abiut this. We walk over to a table and this is where Axel starts to introduce me to everyone.
