Elsa’s pov I woke up with a pounding headache and a strange heaviness pressing on my chest. My body felt weak, like all the strength had drained out of me overnight. The early morning sun slipped through the curtains, but even that soft glow hurt my eyes. I turned over, groaning, and pulled the blanket tighter around me. Lila’s voice came through the door. “Elsa? Are you awake?” I wanted to tell her I was fine, but my voice came out thin and tired. “Yeah… I’m up.” The door creaked open, and Lila walked in carrying a small tray of food soup, bread, and fruit. Her red hair was tied up in a messy bun, and worry filled her eyes as she set the tray down beside me. “You didn’t eat last night,” she said gently. “So I made something light for you.” I tried to sit up, but my body protested.
