Chapter 3.

Aurora: After completing my final shift of the day, I rested my hand on my stomach and strolled through the streets to my rented flat. "Do not fear, my love—your mother will protect you," I said to my child. I felt a little bad about it, but it killed me to realise that Parker did not know he was expecting a child. However, I was also aware of the repercussions if I told him I was, and I knew I could not bear them. I had to hide the offspring of a mating because I was afraid I would be told to terminate it. I refused to do so because I was committed to protecting my child at all costs. If the man had threatened to kill me for not disclosing that he had slept with me instead of his "girlfriend" in order to satisfy his lust for attention, he would have told me to lose the child without thinking twice because he was afraid of how everyone would react. Having worked for two months after leaving the pack and a month before I left, I knew that I could provide for my child and myself when I stopped receiving my stipend from Alpha Mathew. The man has more than enough for me, and although I did not mind, being pregnant interrupted my original plans for me to buy a car, I was grateful that I was able to save up the majority of the allowance he granted me over the course of the year. At least I knew that, in theory, I would not be alone since I would eventually start my own family—something I had been denied. Nobody knew that I worked as a professional writer; instead, they assumed that I was working on projects or studying for exams. I studied at night when everyone went to sleep, but during the day, I alternated between working to support my child and myself financially and attending classes that had moved to the internet. On the way, I stopped at one of the grocery stores and picked up some food for myself. A loaf of bread, some water bottles, and two bottles of peanut butter and jam should last me for a few days at the very least. As a wolf, I knew I did not have much time, so the less I spent on myself, the more I could save for my child's needs. Luckily, I was showing when I started working, so they could only surmise that I was in my sixth month. Luckily, I was at home or outside the pack for the majority of the day, and when the first full moon arose, I took care to pretend to go and shift outside the pack's grounds with companions I did not really have. My belly was tucked under the loose shirts that they were used to seeing me wear and the mom jeans that I had purchased while back at the pack. Because he was indifferent, Parker's father did not inquire more. When it came right down to it, though, no one was suspicious. "That would be five dollars, ma'am," the cashier said, staring at the trangs I had bought. "These are on the house, ma'am," she said, smiling as she handed me another loaf of bread and a bottle of milk after taking one look at my tummy. I hope you have a smooth delivery." I muttered, "Thank you very much," while placing my palm on my stomach."You have my sincere gratitude, ma'am," she nodded to me. Grinning, I gave the woman my money, stuffed my things into a suitcase, and returned to my flat. Since I had not eaten enough to prevent my baby from starving to death or from dying on me in the three months that she had been living alone, I knew that I was hungry. Most of my food consisted of bread and anything I could smear on it or leftovers from the restaurant. Because they were excellent and I had no other options at the moment, I did not mind. I entered my flat and sat on the floor in the centre of what was supposed to be the living room after making sure the door was secured behind me. I smiled and put my palm on my stomach before making and eating a sandwich. I took a few sips of water, got up, and organised the things in the little refrigerator I bought with my first real paycheck, thinking I would need it to at least store food. When my kid moved inside of me and I felt the kick, I could not help but giggle, even though it was a little harder than normal. "I know you are hungry, but this quantity will have to do till further notice. "You know that mummy cannot afford to buy food every day, we still need to have money when you are here," I said, placing a soothing palm on my stomach. I swear to give you all the love I was not given." I promise to protect you from anyone who might try to harm you. I got up from the ground and went to the bedroom, dusting my bed and turning on the lights. To give myself a gentler smell, I took my night light from under my pillow, plugged it in, and turned it on and off. I want to know why she ran away and where she is, whether she is dead, alive, in the city, or someplace else. If she doesn't, I will make sure you pay for her departing the manner she did. Before I could say anything, the man left the house, so I sat down on the couch and pinched the bridge of my nose, knowing that there was nothing I could do. Something was wrong when my friend left the pack, and something else entirely when I could not bear to look at Ella. I was more infuriated by her staying with me in the house than I could have ever imagined, and I could not help but feel guilty for rejecting Aurora and sleeping with her. "Alex?" Ella stated as she walked inside the house with a large basket of shopping. Ella let out a low moan that night because I did not get up to meet her as I usually would have, and her voice—which had once been music to my ears—enraged me. She placed her car keys on the table, handed the groceries bags she was holding to one of the maids, and came up to me. "When will you explain to me what went wrong that you do not even bother to look at me?" As she sat down next to me on the couch, she inquired. Over the past three weeks, we have become increasingly aloof from one another, and part of the reason for this has been that she has been either overly protective of me or has been pressuring me to get her pregnant. She was aware that I did not want it, but after Aurora vanished and I began looking for her, I was not so blind as to miss the fact that she had stopped taking birth control. "It is my body and what enters it. You can start by going back to your birth control tablets and stopping." "After that, Ella, you can dream about me touching you," I scowled at her. As I stood up from the couch, she cast her gaze down at her lap and said, "I will not take the chance of you being pregnant."What became of the family we intended to raise? According to what I understand, a fally was created when two mated and had a child. You are merely irritated that we want to attempt for a child because you will not mark me. Ever since that slut, you have been.
