I sat up in bed as I looked at usman who was surprisingly up early today.
"Let's pray fajr"I said facing him with an half smile.
"And you are leading"I added
"But I am not even a Hafiz"usman whined.
"Who challenged the imam's son in a Quran recitation competition back in grade 3"I asked smiling
"Alright! You're hard to convince"usman smiled back for the very first time.
I finally saw him smile, yes he smiled!!!!
"Why are you staring at me"usman asked curiously
"This is the first time I am seeing you smile genuinely"I replied.
I watched in amazement as usman led the prayer, it was wonderful. I was speechless. Every word of the Quran came out beautifully from his mouth.
