The Next Heir

Chapter 1

As I slowly open my eyes I hear this loud ringing and almost immediately as soon as I opened my eyes i shut them again hopping the sound would go away. After a couple minute the sound started to fade away so I tried opening my eyes again, everything was pitch black, I had to blink my eyes a couple of times just to make sure I was actually awake, once I realized I wasn't blind when my eyes adjusted to the light I slowly reached up to turn on the lights in the car. When they turned on I was shocked but didn't say anything of it. As I looked around i saw my mom leaning agenised the door not moving, after a while of me sitting there trying to comprehend the situation, I look up and realized the car was on its left side and Rebecca wasn't in the car. I started feeling tears travel down my face as I slowly started to get out of my seat, but stopped when I couldn't feel my left arm, as I slowly look down to my arm thinking of the worst, I saw a giant piece of glass going through my forearm. I quickly lookes away feeling nauseous at the sight and started getting out of my seat. Once I as free I quickly climbed into the front seats trying not to touch my mom. Once I was in the front seat were Rebecca was siting I checked to see if my mom was breathing. Who knew that emergency first aid course my mom made me take would come in handy. After a while when of watching her to see if she was breathing I only saw her chest move a couple of times which wasn't good ut it was good enough that I didn't need to give her CPR.

"Everything will be ok, no need to panic she's only just unconscious, she's going to be ok" I said trying to calm myself.

After a while of thinking about what to do I crawled trough one of the broken windows. Once I was out of the car I notice it stopped snowing and that the car was in a ditch next to the highway. I decided to look around for a bit to see if Megan was down here too. After a while of searching I gave up thinking that she might just be at the road. Looking at the hill towards the road I tried calling out to see if anyone could hear me

"HELP, HHEEEEELLLPPP, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME" I yelled trying to get the attention of the cars that were driving by

But there was no luck no one could hear me, so I turned around and started walking closer to the car to check up on my mom again, but then something caught my eye, I saw a glare of something next to the car so I reached down to grab I thinking it was jus a piece of glass but when I picked it up I realized that it as my phone. I immediately turned it on, it took a couple minutes to turn on, according to how it was in the snow for I dont knows how long, I was surprised it even turned on. once it fully turned on I immediately saw the time, it was 3 am. I slowly lowed my phone and wrapped my arm around my stomach leaving my left arm by my side cause it hurt to much to move,

"happy 15th birthday" I slowly and quietly said to my self feeling the tears slowly build up in my eyes as I looked down at y feet

After I composed myself I started to feel really light headed and dizzy but I didn't think anything of it, I lifted my arm again and noticed I had signal, I quickly called 911.

After about an hour, I felt even more light headed then before. After a couple more minute I heard some bushes rustle and a twig snap, I slowly looked to where the sound was coming from and saw 2 beady yellow eyes, as the thing took a step closer to me I noticed it was a giant pitch black wolf, standing there showing his teeth growling. I looked at him in shock, it was as if the world stopped all of a sudden. I when I snapped out of my trans, I felt even more light headed, I heard people yelling from the top of the hill I looked up the hill and saw the police cars and the ambulances. I looked back to where the wolf was but he was gone, so I just assumed I was hallucinating from being so cold. When I turned around to the hill again I saw some of the firefighters coming down the hill attached to ropes, when they got down to me one of them asked for my name,

" My name is Bella, My moms name is Clare and My sister's name is Rebecca. But, I dot know where Megan is I think she fell out of the car while it was rolling." I said as tears fell down my checks

They all nodded there heads not knowing how to comfort me, as one of them took a couple steps away from us and taled into his walkie-talkie, I couldn't hear what he was saying over the ringing in my ears but, I didn't really care. I showed them were my mom was and as they were getting her out of the car, one of the other firefights started raping gauze around my arm trying to stop the bleeding when he ran out of gauze he started strapping a harness and ropes to me. After he was done he went to go help the others. Once everyone was ready the guys at the top of the hill started pulling the ropes and we all slowly made our way up th hill. Once at the top of the hill I couldn't see Megan anywhere so, I went up to the closes firefighter I saw, she had dirty blond hair that was pulled back into a pony tail and she also had the prettiest light blue eyes that I wish I had.

"Do you know where my sister Rebecca is?" I questions fighting to hold back my tears

"No, sorry. I think they might've already taken her to the hospital in one of the ambulances already" she said trying to comfort me

"OK, thanks" I said looking down at my feet trying not to cry again

When I looked back up at her, she had this sympathetic look on her face.

"By the way my name is rose, have you seen a doctor about that arm yet?" she questioned

I just shook my head no in response

"you better see a doctor soon before that arm gets infected." she said slowly reaching for my arm.

The moment she touched my arm I screamed out in pain, I didn't even realize it hurt that bad till now, I guess I was just so focused on finding Rebecca and making sure my mom was alright that I completely forgot I had a piece of glass in my arm. When Rose saw my reaction she used her walkie-talkie and said some stuff in it I didn't hear, but after she was done talking she looked at me and pointed to one of the ambulances.

"see that gy over there by the ambulance over?" she questioned

I just simply nodded

"his names Adam, he's going to help you with your arm and any other injuries you make have'" she said in a calm and sweet full voice with a smile

I smiled at her and said thanks before I started walking over to Adam. I stopped walking when I heard the ringing came back and everything became all blurry as I felt my body swaying in the wind.

"SOMEONE CATCH HER" I heard someone yell

and before I knew it I was watching people running towards me, as I was falling to the ground waiting for the shock of the impact. But, it never came, instead I felt someone wrap there arms around me keeping me from hitting the ground.

That's when everything went black again.
