Nikki pov

i was standing in front of my new found brother Alpha Erick when this girl came into the office, Screaming about me taking my hands off of her mate, I was looking around, who was she talking about? than it dawned on me, she was talking about Erick, Her claws where out her teeth were growing, and she was coming to attack me, i stood there looking at her like she was f*****g crazy, when she swung at me i caught her hand in midair, she swung her other hand i caught that one as well, its something that i learned when i lived with Guss, Sometimes i would stop him from hitting me, but that was even worse punishment, but for this girl, I told myself i would never let anyone hit me ever again, And im keeping that promise to myself and to Moon and Morgan as well, I looked into her eyes she was new, she didn't know she was about to shift, but she sure as h3ll smelled my brother, Turning to Erick i said,

“You need to get her outside she's about to shift,” You should had seen the look of shock on his face, he hurried to get her outside, she snatched her hand away from him,

“How dare you act like you care about me when you have another woman in your office,”

‘Sissy, will you shut the h3ll up, She's my sister, and how are you shfiting? Are you not supposed to shift for another week?”

“You need to ask Kara that, she said I needed to ask my parents the very same question,” I had no idea what the h3ll was going on. So i told him to mindlink her parents, there going to need to be here as well,” So that's what he did, he mindlinked them and about five minutes later they were outside with us, we looked at them and they looked at us confused wondering what was going on, Sissy was sitting on the ground, why i had no clue but she said it's better than falling on her face when when the shift began, we were waiting for midnight, for some reason Erick said that their shifts always happens at midnight, it's pretty crazy, mine was at ten at night alone in the woods away from my family, If they knew they would had killed them, so i kept it a serect all this time, im sure Guss thinks i would had shifted by now, My thoughts got interrupted by a scream, a scream so loud that i thought my eardrums would burst,

looking down at Sissy, she had a look of pain on her face. Oh, oh, it started, Her father leaned down, whispering softly to her, while her mother was trying to hold her hand,

they are not going to help, it was Erick that's going to help,

‘Erick, you're her mate. You need to get down there and help her. You can take some of her pain away,”

Nikki, i'm not sure if i am or not. How do i know that she's not lying,”

“WILL YOU GET DOWN THERE AND HELP HER, TOUCH HER AND YOU WILL FIND OUT, LISTEN TO HER ERICK SHE NEEDS YOU!!” That did the trick, he hurried to get to her he touched her back then jerked his hand away, he felt the sparks, his jaw dropped open, as he touched her once more, the look of love came across his face,

Erick pov

I couldn't believe my own sister yelled at me, i wanted to laugh when she did it, but i didn't want to get yelled at again, kneeling down toward Sissy, i knew we badly wanted to be mates, i didn't want to get my hopes up, she said we were mates when she stormed into my office, lets see if she truly is, Nikki said i would feel the sparks of the mate bond with just one touch, lets see if this is true. Reaching my hand out to touch her back, i was just an inch from her back when i felt those sparks, i wasn't even touching her just yet, i jerked back in surprise, than i slowly and gently laid my hand on her back, i felt so much love for her, my wolf was going crazy wanting and needing our mate, I had to tell him to calm down she’s about to shift, i listened as she screamed out in pain as her arms and legs started to break and shift the way they should be shifting, her back arched as her spin started to shift into a wolf spine, i was trying so hard to take some of the pain away, Era suddenly came forward,

“Shift Erick, this will help her, i've already shifted before so it won't hurt that much, so i shifted letting Era take control, he was leaning down looking into her eyes, it seemed to calm her down, her face turned into a wolf, her snout came out, her ears and she started growing fur, her screams became whimpers as her tail finally came out from the back, her eyes were closed, i wanted her so badly to opened them so i could see her beautiful eyes, when she did open them, she had the most beautiful green and silver eyes, her fur color was a color of dark brown that almost looked black, I shifted back to my human form putting on shorts, i kneeled down in front of her,

‘Do you think you can shift back,baby? Just think about your human form, there you go, you got it,’ He stood up her mother hurried to put a sheet around her so she could get quickly dressed, she turned to her parents, and asked,

“Mind telling me why i was shifting tonight instead of next week on my birthday, i would just love to know mom, dad,

‘Honey we can explain, but i think we need to go home and talk about things, Alpha Erick, since you're her mate, you can come with us if you want,

‘Thanks for your permission, Mr and mrs conner, but i don't think i need your permission, Nikki, you can walk with us,” i didn't want to leave my sister out of this, for some reason i felt protective over her and i've only known her for a few hours, we got to Mr Conners house we all walked inside and sat down, i put Sissy in my lap, so i could hold her better,

‘So mother, would you like to explain, because i would just love to know,” they both looked at each other than back at us,

“Honey, you need to remember you were just a baby when this happened, i had a sister. She was a little older than me, Alpha Erick. You remember her, Jessi?” I nodded saying yes, i remembered her, she was one of our best warriors, Well she fell in love with a am alpha, we all knew it, we warned her not to go with him, but it was to late, He broke things off with her because he had found his mate, but months later, his luna killed him, then came after Jessie, because she was pregnant with his pup, again alpha Erick you remember that day,” I do remember, Jessie was pregnant only a five months she was due anytime, her belly was big we thought she was going to have twins, she would had if that woman did not come and stab her in the stomach, the time we got to her she was already fading out, the light in her eyes were fading, she told us to take the babies, to let her die, since she was already fading, i didn't want to do it but, but i couldn't let those babies die either, so i did what i thought was right, she took her last breath when i clawed her stomach ripping it open, i took you and your sister out, but your sister wasn't breathing, the doctors did everything they could, they couldn't save her, we named her Lizzy, we held her until we had to bury her, i just wanted her to know she was so much loved, and i hope she felt the love we had for her, We named you sissy, you was a fighter honey, you almost died a few times, but you servived, We where hoping Kara wouldn't shift until next week, but shes a stubborn wolf, yes we knew about her as well, she always came forward when she was wanting to see what was happening, Im sorry we haven’t told you before honey, is there any questions you would like to ask?”

“No, you have answered everything that i was going to ask, im thankful that you saved us even though Lizzy didn't survive, but you showed her so much love, and i'm sure she felt the love you gave her. Where is that woman who killed my mother?” You know, i have forgotten about her its been years since i've been to the cells, the guards hasn't said anything about her being dead, but i did promise her that i would bring her the daughter to see her once she has grown, i just wish i could had remembered all of this,
