When I noticed that things seemed too strange for just the true friendship we had, I turned my attention to the room, looked around, and realized Lucas was no longer there.
"Did Lucas leave?" I asked, frowning in confusion.
Chris, who was still looking at Theodore with fascination, blinked and raised his eyes to me.
"I didn't even notice when he left."
"Neither did I..." I murmured, chuckling softly.
"Relax, no one needs to look for me, I'm back already."
Lucas's relaxed voice came from the doorway, and when I looked, I saw he wasn't alone. Bryan was by his side.
I smiled at the sight of them.
"You left, and we didn't even notice."
Lucas shrugged, a playful smile on his lips.
"You were so engrossed that I didn't want to interrupt. But now, shall we go?"
