Today is a busy day for my brain. I have two blankets wrapped around me as I lay on my bed doing homework. I'm so immersed in my work, no thoughts dare enter my head to distract me. Ruth opens the door and comes into my room, and she smiles when I greet her with a mumble. "You're still doing homework?" she asks, sitting on the edge of my bed. "Amy, I can't believe that you have to do all this." She picks one up. "And repetitively. Honey, are you still doing your friends' homework?" See, if I tell her I am doing their homework, she'll have a whole lecture with me. "They're my friends, Ruth," I tell her. "It's not wrong to help them out."
