Upstairs, everyone is getting prepared to leave or waiting anxiously. Joel and Ruth left, heading to Carnival Village with their troop to wreak some nadai havoc at the Cedaridge Farmhouse Club.
Gary, Edwina, and some Cygnus members go into the basement after me. Bunny is talking to June in a low murmur. Right next to the basement door is what pretty much looks like two suitcases that’ll be stuffed into the back of a truck. Encased within it are ten TNT and dynamite bombs.
I swallow nervously and walk around the house aware of the Cygnus sentries’ eyes. In the living room, I hear familiar voices and see Alistair and Mathias standing at the centre of the room: Alistair with his arms crossed, Mathias with hands dug in his pockets. It’s probably meant to be private, but I can’t help myself
