The days had rolled by quickly. It was already two weeks since Charles was discharged from the hospital and it's been exactly one week since my kiss with Carlos. Luckily, Carlos had given me those two weeks off from work so I could make sure Charles was completely fine before heading back to work. He had been coming over almost every day to spend time with Charles. They always spent the day together playing games, going to the park and just getting to know each other. Carlos hadn't mentioned anything about our kiss again which I was grateful for. It was confusing to think about my feelings for him as he was getting married soon and I hated the idea of being the cause of another woman’s marriage failing even if he wasn't particularly happy about the marriage.
