I ran back to the changing room to catch my breath. My heart was still pounding loudly as I struggled to make sense of the event that unfolded for a few minutes. I had seen Carlos again after five years and now I was his new assistant. All these happened in less than ten minutes.
"Okay breathe. It's going to be okay," I said to myself as I leaned against the wall with my eyes shut.
