I was currently sitting by Charles's bedside in the St. Mary's Children's Hospital. Charles was currently sleeping after some medications were administered to him. His body wasn't burning up as before and I was thankful that he was attended to immediately after we got into the hospital.
The door opened to reveal Lou who rushed over to Charles's side. She looked as distraught as me and honestly, I couldn't blame her, I sounded so scared on the phone when I called her. She loved Charles like a son and had been with him every day since he was born so it was quite normal for her to react this way.
"How is he?" she asked as she held his hand as he slept.
"The fever is gone now. I'm just waiting to get his test results so the doctors can explain exactly what was wrong with him. I sh
