The day went by quickly and I was already rounding up my work. Carlos hadn't stepped out of his office all day or said a word to me. It was as though he was avoiding me or something. Maybe it had something to do with his father. The words Ronald had said to me still rang in my head; “stay away from him”. It wasn't as though I had anything to do with Carlos. He was only my boss and the father of my child. It wasn't like Ronald had known about the kiss I shared with Carlos in my kitchen or did he tell him?
I honestly doubt that.
I gathered my things and shut down my computer to head out of the office. I gave Carlos's door one last look before stepping out.
