chapter 6
The next day, Victoria woke up feeling refreshed and renewed. She stretched her arms and yawned, feeling a sense of peace and calm that she hadn't felt in a long time.
As she sat up, she noticed that she was in a beautiful room, surrounded by elegant furniture and soft, white curtains. She looked around, trying to remember how she had gotten there, but her memories were hazy.
Just then, the door opened and Uncle Claude walked in, a warm smile on his face. "Good morning, Victoria," he said, his voice gentle and soothing. "How are you feeling today?"
Victoria smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her uncle. "I'm feeling much better, thank you," she said, her voice still a little shaky.
Uncle Claude nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad to hear that," he said. "You've been through a lot, and you need to rest and recover."
Victoria nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that she was safe now, that her uncle would take care of her and protect her from harm.
Just then, a tiny little dragon poked its head out from behind Uncle Claude's legs. Victoria's eyes widened in surprise as she saw the little dragon, and she couldn't help but laugh.
"Who's this?" she asked, reaching out to pet the little dragon.
Uncle Claude smiled. "This is Kaito," he said. "He's a very special dragon, and he's been taking care of you while you were asleep."
Victoria's eyes widened in surprise, but she couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and magic. She reached out to pet Kaito again, and the little dragon nuzzled her hand, purring contentedly.
Victoria's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the little dragon. "This... this fluffy ball is the big Dragon King?" she stuttered, her voice filled with incredulity.
Uncle Claude chuckled, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Yes, Victoria," he said. "Kaito here is indeed the Dragon King. He's a very powerful and majestic creature, but he's also very kind and gentle."
Victoria's eyes were still wide with wonder as she stared at Kaito. She couldn't believe that this tiny, fluffy dragon was the same creature that had been so big and powerful just the day before.
Kaito, seeming to sense Victoria's confusion, looked up at her with big, round eyes. He let out a tiny roar, as if trying to prove that he was indeed the mighty Dragon King.
Victoria couldn't help but laugh at Kaito's antics. She reached out to pet him again, and Kaito nuzzled her hand, purring contentedly.
"I never would have guessed that you were the Dragon King," Victoria said, smiling at Kaito. "You're so cute and fluffy!"
Uncle Claude chuckled. "Yes, Kaito has a bit of a surprising side to him," he said. "But don't let his cute appearance fool you. He's still a very powerful dragon, and he'll always be there to protect you."
Victoria smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Kaito. She knew that she could always count on him to be there for her, no matter what.
Kaito's voice echoed in Victoria's mind, "How are you, little one?"
Victoria's eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Kaito. She had heard his voice clearly, without the need for the ring or experiencing any pain.
Uncle Claude smiled, noticing Victoria's surprise. "It seems that Kaito has formed a special bond with you, Victoria," he said. "He can communicate with you directly, without the need for the ring."
Victoria's eyes sparkled with wonder as she looked at Kaito. She reached out to pet him again, and Kaito nuzzled her hand, purring contentedly.
"I'm feeling much better, Kaito," Victoria said, smiling at the little dragon. "Thank you for asking."
Kaito's voice echoed in her mind again, "I'm glad to hear that, little one. I was worried about you."
Victoria's heart swelled with affection for Kaito. She knew that she could always count on him to be there for her, to care for her and protect her.
Uncle Claude smiled, watching the exchange between Victoria and Kaito. "It's clear that you two have formed a strong bond," he said. "I'm glad to see that."
Victoria nodded, smiling at Uncle Claude. She knew that she had found a true friend in Kaito, and that their bond would only grow stronger with time.
