Love is in the air

Jaysen's POV

I'm really happy for all my pack members finding their mates so I guess this whole annoying thing is worth it. I just hope we find our mates too. My brother and I walk into the dining hall and walk to our normal table with our future beta, Matt and our future Gamma, Michael. Dinner here is family style as they call it so our table is filled with all kinds of delicious foods! We have fried chicken, barbecue ribs, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and so much more. I love my pack!

I fix my plate with large helpings while everyone is chatting about our days when the smell of peach cobbler hits my nose and makes my mouth water. I look around but don't find any on the table around me, huh, odd. As I'm in a state of confusion a new visiting group walks in and my eyes land on the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen. She can't be more than 5 feet tall making her the shortest she-wolf ever. She has long, fiery red hair in two long braids. My Wolf howls in excitement and says the word I've been waiting to hear for 3 long years, "mate"!

I jump out of my seat at the same time Jordan does and we lock eyes. "Did your mate just walk in too?" I asked him.

"Yes! She came in with the last group that walked in! Did yours?" Jordan said excitedly.

"Yes! I wonder if it's the same one? My Wolf is screaming for the little redhead leading the pack! I wonder what her name is and where she came from!" My Wolf is urging me to move towards her. I step off at the same time Jordan does and we head towards the new group.

Jordan locks eyes with me, "Well brother, we don't share a mate. My Wolf is claiming the little brunette beside her! Let's go meet them!"

Elyse's POV

The smell of chocolate chip cookies is getting stronger and I look up and lock eyes with the most attractive man I've ever seen. He is walking towards me and I hear Em in my head scream "mate"! My eyes go big and I can't move. I am stuck in a trance, just staring at this giant man as he moves closer and closer to me. I feel my sister grab my hand and squeeze it like she is trying to understand what's going on. I cut my eyes to look at her and she is staring straight at the gorgeous blonde haired man walking towards them.

"Breath, Elysabeth, breath. Say the word and we run!" I linked my sister.

That seemed to be enough to bring her back down enough to catch her breath. She gives me a ghost of a smile and links back "I found my mate, Elysa! What do I do?"

I let out a small laugh, "Well sis, it looks like they are doing the leg work. It's time we meet our mates!"

It's like we are the only people in the world right now. As he gets closer I find myself falling into the deep emerald eyes looking at me just as intensely. As he approaches me I have to strain my neck to look at his face. He is probably the largest man I have ever seen!

I hear Em giggle in my head "I bet there are other parts that are just as big!"

I can feel my face heat up, "Em! You perverted wolf!" she just howls with laughter!

I look up to see a smirk on the face of the gorgeous man in front of me. "Hello, little mate. I've been waiting for you for a long time!" Oh, that voice...

"I would like to say I have been waiting too but I've only been looking for three days." I quietly respond.

"Well, I am very happy you found me so quickly! I am Jaysen Smith, future alpha of Blood Moon pack. And who might you be little mate?" Oh my gosh, the future alpha is my mate...

"My name is Elyse Black. I am one of Alpha Black's daughters of the Black Storm pack. I'm here with my twin sister who seems to have found her mate too." I mention while looking towards my sister.

He smiles at me, "Yes, it looks like your sister is mated to my twin. What are the chances! I didn't know Alpha Black had any children!"

I roll my eyes before I respond, "Yes, well daughters are an embarrassment to him. They can't run a pack so they are useless to him."

"That's absurd! I'm very happy to be able to get you away from that backwards thinking! Would you like to have dinner with me?" He said while extending his arm to me.

I giggled at his antics and grabbed his arm, "I would love to have dinner with you!"

We start walking towards his table at the front and all eyes are on us. Well, this is uncomfortable.
