Dinner and a show?

"Em, you are giving me a headache! Why are you pacing so hard? What's wrong with you?" "I don't know! I'm sorry, I am just feeling off. I don't know how to explain it!" "Hmm, would you like to go for a run after dinner and let off a little pent up energy?" "I think that would be a good idea! See if Sisters want to come with us!" "Okay, I'll do that! You know they will probably love to! Now, let's just get through dinner and we can run!" With that I cut off the link with Em and opened one with Elysabeth. "Hey sis, y'all want to go for a run later? Em, said she needs to run off some nervous energy!" Elysabeth links back quickly "Yes, Saff just mentioned a run too! I think it would be a great idea but we need to ask someone where to go so we won't scare anyone. We wouldn't want to get their warriors after us!" I giggle a little over the mind link, "Yeah, you're right! We can ask Mrs. Daisy where we can go. Most people aren't used to seeing wolves like ours!" Saff, Elysabeth's wolf, short for Sapphire doesn't have her humans' demeanor. She is a strong, opinionate she-wolf who doesn't take crap from anyone! I never have to worry about my sister with her wolf around! Our wolves are, also, very unique. They are larger than most alpha males and their coloration are well let's just say not normal. "Alright ladies," I address the bunk room, "it is time for dinner! Remember what father said about representing the pack! Best behavior and have fun! Now let's head to dinner before we are late!" With that announcement we headed out the door to the dining hall. It was a short, easy walk. Which is great because most of these she-wolves are dressed to impress with the short dresses and sky high heels. I understand wanting to find their mates but some of this is extreme! I choked on a laugh as I watched my cousin trip over her heels a little catching herself right before she hit the ground. She cuts her eyes at me in a dirty look, "Shut up Elyse! Just because you don't care how you look doesn't mean we all don't!" Okay, rude. I give her a lazy smile, "It's not that I don't care, it's that I'm not changing who I am for anyone. Not even my mate! Plus, y'all will be lucky you don't break your neck before we get to the dining hall!" "You would be lucky if your mate wanted you looking like that!" Sam sneered at me. Ouch, bringing out the big guns I see. I don't see anything wrong with my outfit. I'm wearing my favorite boyfriend jeans, a cute tank top and my very broken in converse! Simple and comfortable! "Well if he doesn't want me like this, that will be his problem, won't it?" I quietly answered as we walked into the dining hall. Everyone in our group went silent with the beauty of the room. There were long, gorgeous hand carved tables running the length of the long room. dozens of large windows letting in the colors of the sunset. And a large open stone fireplace at the end of the room with a large mantel with wolves carved into it. It was magnificent! The scent of chocolate chip cookies hit my nose again and made my stomach growl and mouth water. At the same time dozens of growls could be heard all over the room as all eyes turned in our direction. The men and women in our group started making their way towards their new found mates leaving the rest standing there. I'm very happy for all of them finding their mates. I make eye contact with Elysabeth and link her, "Well it does seem like Blood Moon has been good for our pack! I wonder if that is why our wolves have been crazy all day!" She smiles at me and links back, "This is great but I don't think so. I still feel like something big is going to happen while we are here. I just hope it's a positive thing..." I know exactly what she means. "I hope you're right. Now, those chocolate chip cookies are calling my name!" She gives me a weird look which I couldn't figure out. "Um, sis, I don't smell chocolate chip cookies at all." Huh. That's odd it's all over this room. I was so caught up in my own thoughts I didn't see my sister stiffen beside me nor did I see the predators that were stalking our way.
