Was she buying it? Roman couldn’t tell. He had nothing against spending time with Evelyn every once in a while but he could already see that it would be a problem down the line. It felt too real. And judging by the look on Evelyn’s face, it felt the same for her, too. It would be easy to fall into this trap when she kept looking at him like that.
