"Alyssa is not your mate. All she has done is to redirect the mate bond you are supposed to be feeling for me to herself," I said gently, as my throat was now beginning to hurt as hell and Dante exclaimed, "What?"
I knew that there might never be a way to proof this, but I had to say it. I know that Alpha Jack felt strange on the day that I first held his compass so now, I would make sure that I torment him by planting that seed of confusion and uncertainty in his heart.
"You may have never known, but I am glad that I broke the bond between us," I added and I nodded in the direction of a dagger lying on the floor.
