We were off. The car was already zooming down the road as Faye drove us to our first destination. Before we left, I gave Faye the list. She arranged the list based on location. We were starting off with the ones who were closest to us. It turned out to be Erast, my childhood home. There were several times along the journey when I had to stop myself from asking Faye to let me off. It was nerve-wracking going back to that place where I had some of the best and worse memories. I was terrified of returning. What if my dad decided to lock me up again? Although Faye had assured me several times that he couldn’t, unless he wanted to risk disobeying the king, it did little to quell my nerves. It was like that. My dad was in charge of all of Erast, but the king ruled over all four territories.
