“What do you mean, I’m dead?” I straightened up, momentarily forgetting that I was being held against my will. I was dead? That didn’t make any sense, seeing how I was currently still very much breathing. He must have mistaken me for someone else. He was talking to me like he knew me, but I have never seen this man in my life unless— Could he be? Could he be the Julian I was searching for? It would make sense if he was. He seemed to know me, so he must know my mother as well. What I didn’t understand was why he tied me up. If my mother was right about him, then he would help me. “So you are Julian.
