“Why are you setting our friends up?“ Xander asks one day after we have dinner.
I smiled sheepishly at being caught. “Why not? What? Did Rain say anything?“
He laughed. “Rain complain about the opportunity to flirt with a woman? Never. I just noticed how many times you've conveniently gotten sick around them so they can spend time with themselves.“
“Well, those two are adults. They can't be forced to do anything they don't want to.“
“True. If it were any other man, I'd be scared Amy was just using him as a rebound, but that's all Rain seems to like. One offs.“
I simply shrugged, waiting to see how this all unfolds. Amy joining us with a plate of fruits effectively cuts our conversation short.
