ESTRELLA'S POV
I don't know if it was my imagination, but the entire lobby falls silent when Rain and I step into the room. Rain is not a new face in the company, so I know it's me that's being stared at.
“Do I look bad?“ I whispered to Rain, but he heard me.
“No. You're very beautiful, Estrella, and you pull this suit off very well. I'm sure they're stunned by how gorgeous you are.“ He says, which prompts a laugh from me.
“Why, thank you, kind sir! Your flattery is very much welcome.“
He laughs too. “I'm not lying, but alright.“
We step into the private elevator, and I was relieved to hear the chatter resume among the staff.
“Remember, stick to the plan.“
