“Have a good day, honey.“ Estrella saw me to my car this morning. She was convinced I should still take some time off work to “recover”. I was fine. I know my body better than most after all.
“Thank you.“
“I'll call you every hour.“ She said, twisting her hands together. That one had made me laugh.
“Estrella, you don't have to call me every hour.“ I refused firmly. “I'm fine. I'm going to have a lot to do today.“
“Alright.“ She relented. “I'll check in with Rain.“
I only smiled at her. Rain wouldn't have time either, but I didn't say that to her. She was clearly worried about me, and I didn't want her to feel like she couldn't do that.
