XANDER'S POV The days leading to the quarterly evaluations were long and monotonous. Everyone was serious and unsmiling. Everyone, including me, struggled to wrap up their unfinished business. Even Rain, who was a workaholic, stuck to his office. Everyone took advantage of the lunch break to get more work done. The mood was somber. Even my uncles and aunts, who were usually unbothered by these quarterly evaluations, prepared for this. I suspect they all now knew that it was all man for himself. Rain still had his guys monitoring their activities on the company's server, but the only thing they did now was compute and upload all the necessary documents that were to be documented.
