Uniformed officers from West Garside Police descended upon the village of Lower Tetney. Inspector Jim Emery, Sgt Carol Tombohm, PCs Valerie Overton, Mary Grainger and Felipe Arnesto-Fernandes, and a dozen or more other uniform officers hovered around, waiting for a technician from the installers of the electronically controlled ornamental gates to manually open them.
