Sophia's POV:
I've been kissed a couple times in my life. At those points in time I thought it was the best kiss that I ever had but now they pale in comparison to the way Dimitri is kissing me. I was shocked at first, I mean who wouldn't be. It’s not every day your sexy billionaire boss just tells you, you’re his and decides to kiss you.
I tried pulling away, but he only pulled me closer to him, refusing to let me go. He pushed me up against the wall pulling away from me for a split second, yet it was all I needed when I saw the look of pure l**t and adoration in his eyes. I couldn’t have denied him when he crashed his lips onto mine again.
He bit my bottom lip softly before sucking on it in a soothing manner. A shiver ran through my body when he slid his hands from my waist down to my hips. He pulled my hips to lock on with his, a soft groan escaped from his lips. His hands then slid even lower to fall at my thighs, he held on to them tightly lifting me up allowing me to wrap my legs around his waist. I moaned softly when his hands squeezed my backside. He took this opportunity to shove his tongue in my mouth.
I was really getting into the kiss when I heard a ding in the background. I pulled away from Dimitri, who was not at all happy about it, to find that we have reached the lobby. Luckily for us we used the private elevator and so nobody could see us, but we could see them. I looked back at Dimitri to find a smirk on his face. Deciding to teach him a lesson I placed a lingering kiss on his lips and loosened his hold on me.
I gracefully slid down the length of his body ignoring the reaction of my body and delighting in the soft moan that left his lips. I quickly fixed my hair pulled out my shades from my clutch and perched it on my nose, shielding my eyes from the world. I turned around to see that he was staring at me. I looked him up and down slowly and let a smirk slowly adorn my face.
“Hurry up, you brought me here for a reason,” I snickered walking away leaving him in the elevator.
Let the games begin.
Dimitri’s POV:
“Hurry up you brought me here for a reason,” she snickered walking away leaving me in the elevator.
I stood there in the elevator not believing my eyes and ears. I stepped out in a daze, replaying the last few minutes in my head.
Did that just really happen??
With a shake of the head I followed her straight outside and down the steps. I reached into my pants pocket and pulled out my phone. I picked up my pace and approached Sophia, without saying anything I wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her closer beside me. Ignoring her startled gasp, I unlocked my phone and dialled Charles’ number. I didn’t even have to say anything as Charles answered,
“I’m on my way”
About five seconds later Charles pulled up before me. I opened the door allowing Sophia to step in before me. I then walked around the back of the car and pulled open the door on the other side, I stepped inside and got myself comfortable.
This was going to be the longest ride of my life.
Sophia’s POV:
Silence
Ever since we got into the car that’s what I’ve been subjected to. It’s really getting to me. I mean it’s annoying how he’s trying to distance himself from me. One second he’s hot and now he’s cold. I don’t get it.
“So,” I turned in my seat to face him “what exactly happened back there?”
“What do you mean?” he asked still not looking at me.
“For God’s sake will you look at me,” I hissed.
I didn’t think he would actually do what I asked but I was pleasantly surprised when he turned to face me. I was just about to say something more but instead I clamped my mouth shut when I saw the look in his eyes. He looked almost .........afraid, before I could process what I just saw, the fear in his eyes was replaced with a coldness that could scare anyone. I kept quiet after that, gazing out the window.
As soon as we pulled up in front of his house I bolted out of the car and speed walked all the way to the door.
“s**t, s**t, s**t,” I cursed when I realized that I didn’t have a key. My handbag was left at my office.
Dimitri took his own sweet time walking up the steps. I’m pretty sure he noticed my nervousness, but thankfully he chose to ignore it. I avoided his eyes like it was the plague.
“Charles will get your things; I wish not to be disturbed”
I ignored his words and marvelled at how insensitive he was being. As soon as I heard the click of the lock, I brushed past Dimitri and once again speed walked all the way up to my room.
I flung my door open this time making sure to lock the door. I threw my phone on my bedside table and kicked off my heels. It’s a miracle I basically ran in them without falling. With a deep sigh I jumped on the bed burying my head in my pillow.
My mind drifted to just a few moments ago when I saw the fear in his eyes. It was so easy for me to see because I often had that look in my eyes just a year ago when I lost my parents. I knew then what my fear was. Now thinking about Dimitri I’m wondering.
Just what does he fear?
